Because you asked.
For the GKE 211 the axis data is 16 bit while the map is 8 bit. The Axis data for the TCC maps starts at the end of the TCC maps. The pattern should be pretty clear, 00009 ( 1 x 9) 0000,00050,00250,00350,00400,00500,00950,00960,011 00. Factor 0.10 The axis data for the manual TCC maps start just after that, notice the pattern again 0005, (1 x 5) 0000,00200,00800,01000,01100 again Factor 0.10 Hope this helps. |

Robnitro,
Attached is the TCC map list from the GKE211. I never explored the warm up maps, never felt the need, but the actual working maps are called what that are, Tripel1 for first Triple2 for second. TripleNT1 for manual mode 1st and so on. The OEM values are really tough to figure out. Certain gears, never lock up or lock up and super high speeds. I tried putting them in a spread sheet and the inconsistencies were all over the place. Once you start to modify and test them, you will quickly understand what BMW had in mind. They were trying to keep the operations as smooth as possible with no jerking anywhere through the ranges. When looking at these, you need to keep in shift maps mind. There are plenty of ranges in the TCC maps that are never achieved. Think about it, unless you are in manual mode, you will never see high RPMs in any gear under light throttle settings. or low RPMs under high throttle settings. Happy hunting |

I think we should change the description in the public XDF for the TCC maps from
0: Start of Open -> Closed 2: End of Open -> Closed 3: Start of Closed -> Open 1: End of Closed -> Open to 0: Open to PWM 2: PWM to Closed 3: Closed to PWM 1: PWM to Open just like the TCC maps that rjahl is mentioning. |

Hi,
e90 lci 330d 245ps edc17cp09, 6hp Problem: I cannot go over 630nm and maybe it is missing torq limiter in ecu or limiter from gearbox In logs from ecu: EngPrt_trqLim - 800nm but in MOTORMOMENT_SOLL only 630nm (maybe it is limited by gearbox?) Of course I could use NM scale up to 600.. but would be nice to go minimum 700 I made mod based on xdf - I changed TL in gearbox (Section TQ Limiters: TQ Limit general, TQ Limit per Gear) Question: only these 2 TL limiters are in gearbox??? Who hast stage3 in diesel? - what is gear switch point (RPM)for example for 3->4 on D on full throttle? (like stock or around 5000?) br, Przemek |

What is tripelnt0 10, 7, 8 , 9 for? It's hard to translate this to GKE195 which is oddly later than your transmission, and 16 bit data instead of 8bit. I'm not even sure the trans has the similar structure of 7 8 9 10 etc.... Is there a csv map pack for the gke195? |

Not sure why you are having problems picking up the maps, I guess I need to look at them and see if I can provide you with another clue. I was only interested in 1,6. Did not care about the warm up maps. I had to find my maps by changing values and logging. Use the data available as a clue, then test. Once you find TripelNT 1 the rest are easy. |

An unrelated question but maybe you have a clue. In m, it won't automatically downshift below 2nd gear. The map shows blank (zero) for the column 2>1.
When I tried to replicate this on the engine warmup maps (to help warm the trans by starting off in 2nd as tcc is unlocked for warmup trans), it did not work. Going to a full stop would put D into 1st. Is there another switch that tells the tcu a minimum gear in that mode? |

Don't worry about the colors, the program is comparing this bin to another that I have in this project file. Although the color changes can make it easier to spot the 1 x 5 maps. |

Thanks, I do see those maps, but I just don't have a good place to test them out to see what is what gear. I was hoping to see if it was ordered in a certain way.
Thanks for the one byte switches, yeah it seems a little difficult to implement without a gke195 damos |

I want to dump my TCU with the TCU tool from dave but it always fails. The programm closes instantly.
Do I have to copy the program to a specific loaction? Anyone else having this problem? |

Please post your command line options. Try out different formats for COM.
TCU_flash -r 5 -p=COMx (x = comm port number your INPA DCAN cable is at) I think the older versions used -p=COM03 for COM3. Last edited by Mik325tds; 07-09-2018 at 07:06 AM.. |
