Interestingly, despite my car being a 2009, it actually came with one but the previous owner removed it many years back. All clips were re usable and found the OEM hood liner, brand new in the BMW packaging for $40 on marketplace.

Next up: the new headlight lenses I have in my closet (and yes, it desperately needs a detail)
im doing the headlight today !

the previous owner blacked them out. It does not look good on a black car.

So I repaint it oem-ish. Can't get the chrome back, but Ive used a chrome paint, which make the grey a bit shiny.

A few days ago I installed this china stereo. Wasn’t sure I’d like it due to the size, since I’m a purest. But since the nav on the E9x is so dated, even a few years after the car was produced. Thought I would take a chance, and I’m glad I did. Fits my new interior mods way more comfortably than the old 8 or whatever inch the stock nav is… ☺️

Because the stock unit is dated, just by size and style. I wanted something that brings it into 2024.. also, not sure about you but my arms aren’t long enough to continue to touch the screen in that lil nav cave of the oem system.

"stretch installed"?

I've just always had a second set of wheels with a square setup of 16" snows installed. Swap them over each season. Easy peasy.

big screen is great and fun.

The look is questionable, but if you dont mind it's cool

Having a big screen like so I would go with a non-ccc/cic dash, the integration is much better.

Also , the CIC screen is not outdated, the resolution is quite good, and you have all the android auto/car play with those small unit addons.

Also it only cost me $400.00 for an 8 gig ram 128gig drive units with free back up cam, front cam, and a pack of 19 interior LED bulbs… Looked like a good deal.. unit works flawlessly after some tinkering to get it set up how I needed.. I’m happy with it. Plus Netflix, Disney+ and Beetv look amazing when watching movies..

Look around. Size and style are indeed dated… let’s be honest, it’s an old azz car, but extremely fun to mod and drive. So that’s what I’m doing. Having some fun to see what I can do… It’s not my daily so I can do what ever and test the waters.

Yeah that’s one main reason for the buy 🤣 Resolution is great. The 12inch looks a lil more interior friendly but I wanted to test the 15in (Pause).😒

Just changed my differential fluid today.

Sharing the picture for reference. Old brake fluid too as a bonus

It's water, brake fluid, and differential fluid in the picture in order.

I love the look of the style 161s, it's really the signature look on a 325i sport package. My buddy keeps telling me I should put Apex on it and I'm like nah, I'm good. Interesting you had trouble sourcing, I recently put Conti DWS06+ from Tirerack and they had big selection for the staggered sizes.

That's a beautiful 330 StradaRedlands . Hope you got her all waxed down and the fires are giving you a break from the ash. Take care brother!

UPS brought me one today from FCP. Mine had one when I bought it, but was literally saturated with oil. IDK how the oil levitated upwards but it weighed a good 10lb from all the oil it absorbed. It was the first thing that went in the trash when I started cleaning up.

I spend an hour getting the airbag out of the car. Took me more than an hour to come to the conclusion I was poking in the wrong holes. (!)

Anyway, ended up adding cruise control to the car on a hardware level, but I'm going to need some coding done before I can use it.

This is the first "cool" picture ever taken of my 330 when I got it. I used my fog lights as headlights. Thats how useless they were. For about 3 months my 17 year old self loved the look and thought it was the coolest thing ever

On things I did today: Oil change on the 330 and an hour drive. Also trying GoNMF Ionic Friction Reducer. Seems to get good praise, we'll see if it's just snake oil.. Oil is looking good (literally)! A nice mountain of material on my magnetic drain plug and a beautiful metallic look. Love it :bs:

Replaced a destroyed cabin air filter housing... unfortunately I broke off one of the 3 tabs of the new housing while installing it.

Today replaced a few non-critical but annoying parts that were either missing or nasty. New hood insulation to replace the oil soaked one that was in it when I bought it. New side marker lights to replace the yellowed ones with the corroded weatherstrip.
Washed it and did a paint decontamination, first thing off I dropped my only clay bar in the grit and threw it away D'oh!. I've had this Mothers synthetic "speed clay 2" thing laying around for years and never used it so decided to give it a try. You don't get the ASMR of seeing all the crud it lifted like you do with real clay, but I think it worked OK. You can feel the paint getting smoother as you work it, and it passed the baggie test when I was done so I'm giving it a A-.
It's got some blemishes but all in all not too shabby for a 19 yr old, 190k, 6 owner, auctioned twice, two accidents and repo once Bimmer. Next a polish and wax and it'll be looking proud.

Very nice work!! I need to also tackle mine, the paintwork isn't terrible on mine, but the previous owner's washing method wasn't the best, and it does have the odd mild scuff mark here and there, and small paint chips here and there. So I will need to lightly touch up those areas and the paintwork will need a good clean, polish and wax. The side markers will probably be replaced, unless I can restore them by polishing them. The bonnet insulation is still in perfect condition, but just needs to be dusted off, but the underside of the bonnet is filthy, so in order to not destroy the bonnet insulation, I will first have to dust it off and then remove it so that I can thoroughly clean the bonnet.

Thanks Three_thirty_I ! Your white 330i is purdy I never cared much for the titansilver but it's growing on me because it hides a lot of neglect. If mine was black or dark anything it would have paint defects sticking out like a sore thumb, but they're barely noticeable on the silver. Hopefully my driveway detailer skillz will get the most of them out. I managed to polish out the side markers on my 330i, they look acceptable but the weatherstrip on those was still good. The ones above on my 325 as you can see are toast.
