This is nice. I just vacuumed mine this past weekend as it was filled with crap.

Where can i get the files?

Thanks for the pic! Thats the kind I wish I could still get. They still look great!

BMW also discontinued the black E90 carpet mats. I found one online store that had a few left in stock and paid a ton for them, but figured it was my only chance. Don't plan to use them until the original carpet ones are threadbare!
That's great to know, thank you! It also makes me glad I bought a brand new set of the carpet ones a year or so back--at least mine will be fresh for a while haha

As for the seat covers, they're BMW seat vests. Originally purchased for my E30 back in the '90s! They've held up 30 years so far... Heirloom quality!
I really love them, as they just sit in the well of sport seats without being big and bulky like a full seat cover.

I found that out the hard way last year. I ordered a set for my E93 and the specific retailer emailed me a few days later cancelling the order.

There are still a few floating around at some random retailers. I still want to try to grab a pair. If not, any suggestions for a good set that fit perfectly?

Man your interior looks about as perfect as I want mine to look. Aluminum trim, split armrest. I really need to get rid of the dark brown wood.

I'm thinking of blacking out the chrome window trim on my 330 and getting new black grille inserts. I already did that to my 335, but part of me wants to keep the classic original pre-LCI 330 exterior look with the chrome trim and grilles.

That is a sharp looking interior, even with the manhood mufflers.
Re. chrome, some time a dozen or 15 yrs ago someone in marketing had a epiphany that if they could sell the idea that chrome wasn't cool, fit only for geezers they could murder everything out and paint all their sh!t flat black for pennies on the dollar and ppl would lap it up, they're still laughing about that. Yeah sorry, chrome always was and always will be cool

Thanks! The aluminum trim was part of the VO, but pretty much everything else is OE+ that I've picked up over the last couple years. I LOVE the aluminum trim... would have been my first upgrade if the car didn't have it!

I definitely need to vacuum...

I blacked out the grills with aftermarket ones, but the chrome window trim doesn't bother me. I'm not a super fan of black rims, although smoked of bronzed tint is okay by me!

Well I started the FLA retrofit process in the 330.

The good:
•my canbus tap harness is a success (in the fact that I didn't lose SZA)
•homelink functions, have yet to try to sync up

The bad:
•apparently the new mirror doesn't have a compass
•the blue led was a failure
•can't get fla to work after default coding
•default coding means I've lost all the custom coding I've done over the years, and have to retrace it all

Overall experience so far: 4/10

I'll accept the chrome, which is why I haven't bothered on the 330 yet but the thought crossed my mind many times.

The chrome had to go on the 335 E93, way too busy with all the different segments on the roof. There was no flow. Combined with the black grille I really like the look. Same with my bro's Alpine White 335d m-sport, the black trim and black LCI grilles look excellent.

I have a love hate relationship with the wood trim inside. It's classic BMW in one sense, but really reminds me I'm driving a 18 year old car.

Fun fact, the 330 is the only N52 powered E9X to come with chrome trim from the factory

I like to be reminded I'm driving a 19 yr old car. That's why I keep them immaculately detailed because nothing is more aesthetically pleasing than aging gracefully. Wish I could say the same for myself.

Huh, did not know!

This afternoon I swapped out for the repro M Sport shifter and it's okay. The chrome surround ring is D shaped and doesn't match the gaiter's O shape, so there's a funky gap that my OCD is fighting against.
Who will win???

I debated painting the headliner but compared it against the freshly painted AB pillars and no way I could get away without matching it. Three coats of Dupli Color:

Fabric paint changes the texture, and makes it a little rough & crunchy. As long as nobody touches it, visually it will be great!

I'm going to let it air out for a few days, and planning on a weekend install!

That's why you modernize it
It's the last good drivers chassis BMW ever made with it's last good NA. A few tweaks here and there and it can be quite timeless. LCI Msport, some updated headlights, painted trim, maybe a sweet swap from a newer gen

They also look good if you leave all the gen1 stuff alone. Unpopular opinion but I prefer the simpler cleaner lines and wide expanses of unadorned sheet metal. A little more dated looking yeah but is that necessarily a bad thing seeing as the very most modern stuff from every maker is 95% hideous eyesores.

I agree about the pre-LCI looking quite good (as an LCI owner), but the Euro-spec xenons with the gray “eyelids” are beautiful and what’s “missing” from a US spec car (and blacklines of course)…

God, something like a Barbara Red + Lemon 330i sport pack would be PERFECT.

Fair point, the orange eyebrow reflector gen1 headlights were a aesthetically questionable choice. They kept it off the fender at least so there's that going for them.

I 100% agree 3P. That's why I have the best of both worlds! Mostly. I enjoy both of my cars equally as much for different reasons. 330 is built loud and rowdy, 328 is built classy and refined. I'll be modernizing the 328 headlights a tad with EU style reflectors and some oem look LED halos but that's it
