Thanks Pat.

If I keep the current stagger... I'll need to go with either 235/40&265/35 or 245/40&275/35... I'm trying to correct understeer on the track so... Hmmm...

I also can't figure out why generally the race cars we see out here have wider in back than front if it promotes understeer...

Remember I have 18x8 in front and 18x10 in back for wheels.

Hmmm....
If your CHs are only 8 in the front I would only go as wide as a 235. If they are 8.5 you can do a 245/265, 255/265, 245/275 255/275. Any of these will work since you dont have an Xi or use DSC on the track, it wont cause any issues.

Will post later... Too tired.

Because big racecars have lots of power, and the suspension to handle the stagger. our cars have this for straightline acceleration and the lawyers say its better for the lack of driving skills the population has.

So I was driving down Provo Canyon tonight got passed by 2 Vipers, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and a Evo IX. I felt like I was in Fast and the Furious. Lambo sounded amazing but damn those vipers kicked up some serious rock chippage on my car

Pat.. how much do you charge for swirl removal / detail? I think my car needs help

getting rid of swirls is a big job.

1. wash
2. polish
3. polish more( wiping off polish to see if a courser polish is needed)
4. wax

Depending on how many times I have to polish price is $75-$130

A full detail is $150. Full detail will take approximately 6-7 hours

Pat, we were wondering should we get the car waxed, chips filled, etc. before we put the clearbra on? or is that something that the clearbra place will do? also, if we wanted to just have the outside looking as good as yours what would be looking at? i think those are all my wife's questions. Thanks.

Question 1. The place I took my car to had a guy come and do the touch up paint and they clean the area that the clear bra goes on. Tint & Clear Bra Specialists
7045 S 400 W Midvale
(801) 255-0555
ask for Mark and he can answer all your question. Tell him I sent you

Question 2. If you are asking how much would it cost it all depends how bad it is. I did a M6 Saturday and it was gorgeous when done. It was a full detail. 7 hours of loving work. I charged him $150. The same thing I did goes for about $250 at other places. Your paint may never look like mine just because I have made sure the detailing from day 1 was done right. All I mean by that is I used the right product and understand how to keep from getting swirls in the clear coat.

Question 2 part 2 If you want to do your self you have to have a Random Orbital buffer and the right products. This is why I have a couple thousand dollars in products and equipment to get the paint as good as can be(remember some times you can never get it all the way back)

It is also a very good thing to learn how to just wash a car and dry it. That is where 70% of all paint damage acquires.

Any way I can help just let me know. If you ever want to talk by phone just PM me for my number.

Thanks for the information Pat. If we ever have questions or need work done, you will be the first place we go. Thanks again.

Pat Lets have a car wash day! I have invested in quite a bit of product, and a Random Orbital buffer since I bought my car, but I am not sure I am using them correctly. I would love to just swing by and sit in with you on a detail job or something! (if that bugs you I understand too) I have been wanting to go to a Meg's session for a while but I have a hard time convincing the Mr's that I need to fly to CA to learn how to properly wash my car.. she thinks I am crazy enough as it is spending 4 or 5 hours washing it as it is.

Your always welcome to come to my place with your stuff and you can use my garage to wash your car with nice soft hot and cold water

I can see what you are doing and give you some pointers. Remember I use 100% Griots products. So I might not know how to best use Meguiars products but I can learn.

Just let me know when you want to do it and I will see if I have any thing that day and we can do it.

This goes for any of you guys. Your all welcome to stop by and ask questions.
