Newbie in Hertfordshire

Hi All,

Just picked up an 07 LMB e93 335i M Sport with light cream dakota leather.

I'm new to e90 ownership, but a BMW owner/ driver for the last 11yrs.

I live in Hertfordshire, work in London, just got married a few months ago, so now that the wedding expenses are paid and a recent promotion, made me think i deserved a new car. (well new to me anyway)

Enter the e93.

My approach to car ownership has been to buy used cars, after they've taken the main hit on depreciation, run them until I get bored, or fancy a change and then switch to something else, I've listed my last 5yrs of cars below, but the list stretches back a long long way further.

I considered leasing something this last time, but decided against it, as I enjoy messing about with cars, and wouldn't want to be limited to what i could do to it.

I look forward to contributing to this site, as I was an active member on BMW5 previously. I plan to keep the e93 for quite a while, but may consider an upgrade to an M3 in a year or two.

My previous cars are as follows, I can post some pics of all of them if people are interested.

> e39 530i Champagne II - Black with Champagne
> ALPINA B10 Silverstone with Imola Red
> e39 530i Sport - Silver with Black + BBS LMs
> e39 M5 - Carbon Black with Silverstone and Black
> e46 M3 Cab - Carbon Black with Cinnamon + Coilovers & CSLs
> e39 530i Black with Black + 19" Hartges
> e36 M3 coupe - Boston Green with M3GT Boston and Black Alcantara Vaders

De-lurking myself!

Hi guys, just a quick 'hi' to de-lurk myself and also to say thanks for all the good advice and info I've gleaned from here over recent months, especially since I traded in my old 2002 E39 Touring this April for a smaller car. I now have a late 2008 E91 LCI 330i which I bought as a BMW AUC, with 8,500 miles on the clock.

I've also just made a short video on how to safely remove the cover pods and mirror glass from the door mirrors, and which I shall be putting up a link to on here as soon as forum permissions allow.

Cheers
Nigel

Hi Guys,

Newbie here with a 2007 330d SE. Bought it with my partner and she uses it for daily commuting - I use a Honda S2000, so only really get to use it at weekends.

Please with it so far (apart from an alloy cracking recently)

Hi, Picked up an e90 335d on impulse a few weeks ago as a posh daily to replace my e36 328 saloon and Saab convertible runarounds, never had a diesel or an auto before but absolutely love it!

I've already bought a private plate for it and I'll lower it soon, I can see it being an expensive toy.....

I am currently looking to buy a 2006 BMW 335i Auto which has covered 31k miles and looks amazing, has leather, sat nav, auto box and when I look at the pictures gives me an 'immediate erection' lol.

Here is the car I am interested in:-

I would welcome any advice from the members on this forum in regards to what to look out for and check before I finally purchase the car for £13k.

I look forward to some interesting conversations soon.

Thanks for having me!

Cheers Russ, had it for about 12 years now, It's running an RB26 DETT from a Skyline GTR but dropped all its coolant on track 3 days after I bought the e90. I had got new aero, front wings, overfenders and Work S1 rims to sort the exterior over winter but now I have to fix it first I've lost interest. Obviously the new car has contributed to the loss of interest. We'll have to wait and see........

I bought mine back in June, but now have pictures! I'm 21 and therefore the insurance companies hate me (or love me given how much cash I'm handing over) so I've got myself a 2007 320i e91 M-Sport, which was just about the cheapest BMW Approved used car in the country.... and doesn't have any turbo's or dpf's to go wrong and bankrupt me.

I got a touring as I own too much crap that needs lugging back and forth between my home and uni/work and a couple of mountain bikes.

Hello I'm drew, just picked up a 2011 e92 328i in alpine white last week! Live in northwest Florida and looking for a car club/meet around the area if anyone's having them.
(Truck behind car is what I traded)

Yeah I bought it a month ago, I started looking at them on pistonheads and was asking my friend how he found his 525d, he then mentioned his mate selling this. Was overbudget but the previous owner bought a Porsche 997 so stuck this on ebay with no reserve and I got lucky.

I have zero knowledge of e90s so I'm doing a lot of reading at the moment. Awesome car though.

Just saying hi to everyone on the forum. I purchased a 2008 320d E92 a few weeks ago in white and I stubbled across this forum looking for pictures of e92s with csl wheels.

I've got a few things in mind that I want to do to the car but at the moment it's just going to be new wheels as one of mine has two hairline cracks
