So the zip tie I got it where it needs to be!
I've never in my life used it, but it's fixed!

Not today, but 10 days ago washed, clay bar, polish with white pad on a DA (3D Speed AIO), then waxed (3D Poxy).

10 days later parked outside it still looks great!

Oh yeah, it's a great hack! Instead of bending the tip of the coil around to make a hook (which I could never do without snapping it off!), you just stick it through the plastic and tighten a really small (2 or 3mm) zip tie around the ears. On all my cupholders, there's still one side of the plastic that breaks and the other is still intact. That's enough to keep the zip tie from dropping into the space. For my needs of very rarely/never using the cupholder, it holds fine. I don't know if it would hold with everyday use.

One of the first few threads I ever started since joining e90post was on this exact subject, however I used something even cheaper than a zip tie. I used a single staple. Even though I don't own the 325 any more, I can confirm that the fix is still holding up and the cupholder still works perfectly!

Trying to (slowly) minimize clutter so I figured why not, I'll install the strut tower caps and clean the bay later. Thank you again MidWillamette335d ! Your instructions were on point, no sand paper needed. I found it easier to "rotate" the clips into place. Starting with the flat spot, crowning the cap to get the side closest to the firewall in, then the one to side of that, followed by the one closest to the front of the car. Love little fun mods like this.

The app won't let me post pics for some reason, but they look good!

I was wondering if that was it!

I passed on a slicktop E92 328i last year... I think I might have made a mistake.

Yeahhhhhhh moisture buildup, that's the ticket. If I find any moisture I'll drill a hole in it like BMW could have done.

As for the mice and chipmunks, they can go back to the alarm niche and windshield drain where they came from.

Anyhoo, they look darn nice. Thanks MidWillamette335d

Cleaned my MAF sensor since I was having a weird idle at times. Seems to have fixed the issue. While I had the intake off, I noticed that this pipe(https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...er-13717599286) was bent on the end near the MAF sensor and was obviously leaking air. I ordered a new one which is coming in sometime this week hopefully. Meanwhile, I used some tape to try and seal the crack as much as possible. Would this kind of leak before the turbo cause a loss of power? I assume it wouldn't effect Boost PSI right since its pre-turbo?

Mickey Mouse flange on the F10 done!
Glad I did it when I did. It was about to fail too. 03/2011 build, 120K miles.

Also, the F10 makes the job incredibly easy. The hose is detachable, and there is plenty of space to work in.

Of course it was then washed and waxed!

Well I got my 325i in mechanically perfect condition, aesthetically it's as good as it can be for a 20yr old 6 owner car and even douched out the HVAC from top and bottom and got rid of the musty smell. Now I'm left with one final annoyance that's sucking out the new car joy. I got a squeak coming from it sounds like inside the dash somewhere. Today I'm removing trim a piece at a time and hitting whatever looks like it could be rubbing with silicone spray but no luck yet. I'm afraid I'm gonna have the whole dash out soon if I can't find it, and I really don't want to, just wanna enjoy driving it for a bit. Anyone with any ideas helpful or not be appreciated.

Not yet but that should probably be next. I installed it right before I went offline a couple years ago because the old one was squeaking. I know it's not the motor squeaking this time, but maybe the housing. It's one of those annoying things that happens often enough to be unpleasant but not enough to really zero in on it. It's mainly happening at mid to moderate speeds on small repetitive bumps, not even bumps really it doesn't make a sound over real bumps, just a roughness makes it happen.

Go drive and E93 then let me hear you complain about 330i E90 creaks!

But seriously, my 330i creaks were virtually silenced by gummi pflege on all the door seals. I have one remaining creak from the hinge on the fold down rear seats.

F10s are sooooo easy to work on. The engine bay is huge and the cowl doesn't cover up 1/3 of the engine! I did my VCG a couple months ago and piece of cake!

Fellow members of the 330i squeak and grown club, unite!

My worst squeak really annoying one that is in the clockspring or steering column. Maybe the instrument panel. Somewhere up there.
Squeak-squeak-squeak... so annoying.
