You can add a throttle body spacer. Apparently adds 5HP and 5% less fuel consumption lol

SOOOOO GOOD! Do you have sport rear bumper too? Are they hard to find?
tks !

not yet, I found one, but is was missing the driver corner on about 21'' (accident), was close !

I still have my E90 m sport, might do 1 bumper with 2.

At some point I want to upgrade the rear lights to the LCI style that are all LED.

Check the wire loom first.

That was the first thing I checked; no obvious breaks or cracks but I didn't inspect any wires within the rubber cover (and on the E93 it's LONG.)

It seems to be the board inside the light itself. When removed from the trunk lid, shaking/tapping it made it work.

I don't mind soldering, but these assemblies appear to be glued together, and I can't separate it without destroying the light. I'll be on the lookout for a set of LCI tail lights.

Another day, another poorly maintained N54

Time to go to town with some solvent and a wire brush!

Would totally be worth it!

Actually, I'd like to do a 3SIM upgrade on the E91, but adding the proper tune seems a bit black arts.

Didn't do much to the car however the CIC retrofit parts collecting project has started. Thanks to Lowrydr310 I received the head unit via mail yesterday. Found a really good DIY thread from a fellow Bimmerpost member for what's needed with part numbers and a coding walkthrough.

Also through the research I saw that CIC early screens had the protective glass and then BMW decided to ditch the glass and add an anti glare coating to the screens which made me question what to me seems to be a poor decision. I'd much rather have the protective glass scratched and having the ease to buff it than leave scratches all over the screen itself. Not like the screen has touch screen function either. I wonder what the reasoning was behind that decision..

Yep. Just watch where the attachment points are for the side bumper brackets. I forget it they line up with the bottom or top half of the bumper.

We’re probably going to be adding yet another BMW to the fleet. Actually re-adding. My dad’s old 330Ci, 2005 convertible. Had the chance to rebuy it, why not? Great first car for the youngest in the family!

I may or may not try to switch with them. God I loved that E46…

Found a supposedly similar tape to the one BMW applies on the shadow line trim for a service bulletin to stop the seal creaks because I’m sick of mine.

Was a bear to install, didn’t stick for shit and had to use a heat gun as if it was thick ppf. Kinda looks white it was supposed to be transparent, hopefully it’ll cure like ppf and be less noticeable but so far no more creaks. Also applied to steering shaft to avoid squeaks against the boot.

My wallet is begging me for mercy right now because I think you guys are convincing me I need another E46!

Missed my old 325i MT dearly since the day it was sold, 5 years ago and I still have daydreams of alpine white E46’s

I didn't like the idea of the exposed screen until I saw one up close. The CCC screen behind the clear plastic cover was old display technology, if you accidentally touched it you can see the pixels blur, looked really sensitive and susceptible to damage. My guess is that's why the plastic was added. The CIC screen is much more robust and can handle some bumps... just don't use that dash cutout for storage however. My donor CIC screen had the reflective coating worn off, looked like someone stored their sunglasses on front of the screen. I simply polished the scratched coating off with meguiars plast-x polish and it's fine.

I actually transferred the plastic cover over to the new CIC screen but after a day I ditched it since it's not necessary.

I agree. Even in stock form the LCI e90 is a great looking car. I think it aged very well.

I think I am going to switch my mirrors to pre-lci though. I have a spare set and they seem to be more fitting. Not a huge fan of the square style ones.
