There's no place like home....
I want out to Donaldsonville yesterday with a friend for some lapping in preparation for his upcoming GT race...ho-lee-shit that track is rough compared to NOLA MSP. Patches of slick concrete mixed in with the asphalt...overgrown grass hiding the apexes...irregular, tire eating surfaces in the corners...and they green flag about 200' before a hard left turn, so there is almost no time to position.
Don't get me wrong, it was fun...I just wouldn't want to drive there all the time. Can't wait to get back to NOLA next month.

I better get some tires before then. 2 weekends at NOLA + 1 day at Donaldsonville left me running 1/4" of tread in the front, and near slicks in the rear. Unless you want to teach me to drift in an AWD car.

Good to see we have some attendee's already for NASA At Nola November 2nd-3rd. I'll be there.
For everyone else, here is the sign up. The National Auto Sport Association is the largest motorsports organization in terms of available track days in the U.S. for us. For anyone who wants to do the track day, a $45 membership is required. http://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1600 (Stu, Doc, Tim ??) This would be a great event for a group pictures

Not just that but any members in Alexandria? I've seen a few 335i's with custom wheels but haven't had a chance to talk to them

I've lived here for for like 18 years, I do drive down to baton rouge about two times a month . I do see some nice bmws down there. I try to look for people at "meets" but with no luck. I been to cars and coffee and it seems like the g8 and mustang guys have pretty much taken over.

Sorry i wasn't clear about what I was saying. I was saying that I have seen some cars that look like they have been modified around town. I was wondering if they were on the forum . I need coding for some other stuff.

No worries Not Todd.
Then I'll run as is...slicker tires may help my entry and exit technique.

Not yet...I need to see some external video of my car braking and cornering, or have someone follow/watch me, so I can determine how much roll and dive I'm experiencing...hard to tell when I'm planted to the steering wheel and focused on the turning process.

Is anyone planning on going to the meet tomorrow at Lakefront Park in Nola? It would be cool to get a group of cars to roll together if anyone is planning on going. I can bring my laptop/coding cable if anyone needs some quick coding. I also can do the BB flash if needed.
