Wanted to bath it but went to early vote prior to getting home and the coolant line from radiator to the automatic transmission cooler puked everywhere in the Town Hall parking lot. Filled it with water and drove the two miles home spewing coolant. Nobody had in stock for today or tomorrow with exception of Oriely's for a Rein piece and the price matched FCP so that's what I did. Waiting now impaitionatly for my Milwaukee batteries to charge to finish my leaves. California Good luck with everything battery powered!!

Great you got home w/ no drama! I found Rein hoses to be fine, although others have had issues. Hope you can continue on the no drama streak!!!

Drove the 330 for the first time in month or two. Hitting a roadblock on the FLA install made me not want to drive it lol. Needless to say, mirror is still completely disassembled and drove without one. Maybe I'll put it back together before snow sticks?

Well I had two bad hoses, the upper radiator hose had a split in it as well so when I fill it with distilled water to do a leak check that reared itself with water splashing all over the place from the alternator pulley. Short bicycle ride to O'Riely's and it's filled with G48 premix after using water pump to drain system while on ramps. Two coolant catch pans filled and now I'm told the local places don't take it. It has to goto the town's recycle center which you guessed it is closed on the days people do this kinda of thing.

Open M-F 8-430 I work M-T 6-430 and F 6-noon for ot so guess next friday will be the day.

I'm lucky where I live, the hazardous waste disposal/recycling center is open every Saturday.

There's also a giant tank near the marina for used motor oil with a big sign that says "motor oil only" however there are a lot of empty jugs in the bin next to it that definitely aren't motor oil.

Finally replaced the failed xenon ballast and MM flange on the 328. Been procrastinating on those forever. And they took a lot less time than I thought!

Was able to do the ballast without taking off the bumper. I just got rid of the third screw, it doesn't need it. MM flange completely crumbled, so that was nice.

Replaced the wiper arm covers and discovered all the ones available are not at all like the ones that were on the car. Easy modification with a rotary tool but even FCP Euro has the same style as what you can find on Amazon and anywhere else. I needed the type with wide cut opening.

Final trim and file turned out better than shown in image but who's going to notice haha.

Got it back.

2 weeks ago it was repo’d

Im kidding, I paid cash for it 5 years ago.

2 weeks ago I was visiting family in NY, 4 hours from home. Went to grab coffee and no start. Because I was 4 hours from my house, I didn’t have anything but the obd2. Aaa towed it to a shop in Syracuse which I will shoutout because they were great. Anyways, replaced the starter and we were good to go. Finally picked it up today. Replaced the alternator at 180000, and starter at 183000. N54 running index 8 injectors and original turbos. Clean dash, no issues with oil tests.

Going to tackle the rear suspension soon, it’s technically fine but 16 years of New England winters have taken their toll.

Replaced the gaskets on the corner windows, they were totally crumbling apart. Window guy said it was a terrible job, he basicaly had to take the back doors completely apart to get to the gasket without damaging anything.

Installed 10mm spacers on my style 230's, very happy with the result, with the alloygator its flush to the arch (cant recommend enough, saved my wheels countless times). 12mm I think would be fine, but reports of that rubbing so thought id go a size down. Also nice bit of road where I can test suspension compression and didn't get any rubbing, seems on the money for sizing. No vibrations at speed or anything like that, ride felt better, no idea how though, likely placebo lol.

Also, while not installed, I put my down payment down this week on Hyde's N52 supercharger kit: https://hydemotorworks.com/shop/product/nebraska-r1/ - they expecting to have the kit complete by late this year, early next. Will ofcourse update when all is said and done.

Looks great man. Can we get a profile view, I'd like to see how those Alloygators look from the side. Interested in hearing your experience with the SC.

I took mine for the last blast of the season before tucking it away in the barn for the winter.

Have one from the beginning of the summer with the wife, car's absolutely rot at the moment so couldn't possibly post a picture lol, but done some bits such as m sport skirts since.

Eisenacher Motorenwerk is my defence on those red bmw logos on the wheels lol, but in truthfulness, it needed a bit more red to go with the alloygator and it fit the bill. I just couldn't get on with the car fully murdered out.

Yep, it is still in development and almost everything in the kit. As its low boost and the centrifugal output is on the cooler side compared to a roots, their base package has a charge pipe directly from the supercharger to the throttle body, but they'd recommend an inter-cooler as can tone the boost back for the same horsepower. They're saying no more than 10psi without being fully built, but I would suspect that will come down a bit once they start testing on the rolling road based on my research around the ESS kit. A chap on Reddit has gone old school and used meth injection to bring down temps and kill off detonation for his SC build, claiming just over 400hp at the pavement (426 being the number in my mind for some reason) on a stock motor.

Only bits you need are a vacuum hose, boost gauge, AFR gauge ideally, air filter and bypass valve (quiet or as noisy as you like) and importantly, a rolling road and a competent tuner. That will be initially however which needs to be budgeted for, but if you give it a bit once the kits are getting into customers hands and cars, i can't see why the subsequent tuning won't become available which should bring that down to remote tunable. But won't have the pre order discount, which said funds can be redirected at the tuning costs at the moment.

Their lead engineer did a YT vid here, gives a lot more info:

The coolest thing ever, thanks!

As a child of the 80's, a supercharger was a formative part of my development:
