well i have a ny plates on my car but my driver license is nj since my address is there but i can def change my driver license to ny.

is it better to do that since i drive in nj most of the time and all my speeding tickets are in nj? someone please help.

if you do most your driving in NJ and have a address in NY, i would def say its better to get a NY license. The only points that can be put on a NY license are those violations commited in NY and a few places in Canada.

The exceptions are alcohol-related violations, drug-related violations, and moving violations committed in Quebec or Ontario. Under special agreements, traffic convictions in Quebec or Ontario are recorded on NYS driver license records and carry points. Except for violations in Ontario and Quebec, points are not added to your NYS record for out-of-state violations.
