Mine are non existent because arizona.

I also really like the look of that black trim. I was trying to find chrome for mine (Hate all you want). In the mean time I'll just paint it black lol.

My rear passanger regulator was absolutely shot. Cleaned off most of the super glue the previous owner used. Put a bolt through it just to keep it planted. I've never used rear windows anyways. Someone has regulators locally for like $20 new.

After doing the engine mounts I thought it was time to turn on the xDrive as I was afraid the shot mounts were putting excessive force on the axle in ways it shouldn't. The right front still doesn't feel good for me. I'm not sure what could be the issue. Sometimes the car is as smooth as but other times I feel the drivetrain, almost like a bad bearing on the right front. Mind you this has been replaced. Not sure if this could be the bearing in the housing of the axle coming off the oil pan towards the passenger side. I'm bummed

Reunited at last! Inspecting it now. Still has the SuperSports we put on it 10 years ago. And definitely needs control arms. SES on too, will scan with ISTA (and the Bluetooth module is dead). But good bones. And God does the E46 drive really well! Not bad for 200K. Oh, and the DISA valve kit has already been ordered.

They're saying no more than 10psi without being fully built, but I would suspect that will come down a bit once they start testing on the rolling road based on my research around the ESS kit. A chap on Reddit has gone old school and used meth injection to bring down temps and kill off detonation for his SC build, claiming just over 400hp at the pavement (426 being the number in my mind for some reason) on a stock motor.

Only bits you need are a vacuum hose, boost gauge, AFR gauge ideally, air filter and bypass valve (quiet or as noisy as you like) and importantly, a rolling road and a competent tuner. That will be initially however which needs to be budgeted for, but if you give it a bit once the kits are getting into customers hands and cars, i can't see why the subsequent tuning won't become available which should bring that down to remote tunable. But won't have the pre order discount, which said funds can be redirected at the tuning costs at the moment.

Their lead engineer did a YT vid here, gives a lot more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Oxf9JZjUUE
Nice kit and seem legit and power sounds right. I been on ESS kit with modtification for past 3-4 years in my n52 (charger on last 8 years) and at 11 or so PSI with meth. I am right at 400 whp. Note thought, that clutch on my 6 speed only held to 350 whp. It’s out daily and almost 200k and runs better than ever. If you no meth go aquamist, one regret with snow performance but function and reability been good just not as refined/amount of fail safes avail.

Ordered a new valve cover (Elring, seems to be highly regarded), as well as a new Valvetronic oil squirter and miscellaneous bolts. About $225 in parts.

And washed the E46 - the deeper cosmetic restoration will happen this weekend. Though the hood does need to be repainted.

Interesting to see the differences between space gray and silver gray - the latter is a bit blueish. Beautiful color.

Two new Michelin CrossClimate 2s fitted today, courtesy of Costco. The previous pair lasted nearly four years and 36000 miles. Not bad going I feel.

I replaced both plastic headlight lenses and the projector assemblies.

I bought adapter brackets and G5-BRT projectors from Lightwerkz. The brackets were listed as confirmed fitment on pre-LCI E92/E93 (and E90 M3) however they were definitely NOT plug and play. I had to trim the bracket itself to clear a few spots of the projector, and had to grind some aluminum away from the projector. I also had to do some careful grinding of the plastic adaptive bracket mounted on the light assembly but I eventually got it to fit. There's no room for the lights to swivel so I have to disable the adaptive function. Not an issue though since the beam width is insanely wide, even fixed it's probably better coverage than what the old adaptive lights could do. Removing the old plastic lens and installing the new one was ridiculously easy. Highly recommended. But the projector replacement was a pain, and now I understand why most companies charge $1000+ for this service.

The reason I wanted to swap projectors is the light output was horrible. I assumed the reflector bowls were burned out but after opening them up I realized the bowls were fine, but the lenses had some kind of cloudy residue on the inside of them. I was able to wipe this off easily but decided to go ahead with replacing the projectors anyway. Light output is amazing! I'll post some photos once I get the bumper installed and aim them.

If you are happy with them suggestion of source and cost would be appreciated.

Bought a Sirius extension cable and 5m of 22awg 4 conductor wire, a most bypass loop and an e90 CiC aux jack with harness so I can retrofit the aux back in to combox now and convert from original 2006 external SDARS to the CiC’s internal SDARs module.

I purchased the cheapest ones I could find on eBay, around $50 or $60. They're all the same.

All of the retrofitting services strongly recommend applying headlight protective film, I'm guessing it's because these aftermarket lenses aren't anywhere nearly as good as OEM plastic.

The outer lens replacement was easier than I thought. Bake for 10 minutes at 200 and they separate easily. I used one of these tools:

Cleaning the old butyl wasn't difficult, just took some time.

I have the same issue. I can feel the drivetrain( I think). Replaced both bearings, did not resolve. The feeling increases with speed up to a certain speed then remains constant. Kind of annoying at low speeds, however. Not to sure what it could be. I’ll have to check the fluid level in the differential.

Check the bearing for the passenger side axle support. It’s the casing that comes out of the oil pan where the axle goes through. That bearing could be making the noise.

70F here up the coast in Canada.
Feels like a good day to put on winter tires as I hate cleaning the summer wheels in cold weather later in November!
