You have to get it? What are you getting it in? You can, but aren't supposed to lay water heaters down. If you have to lay it down, lay it down with the controls upwards. If they try and get you to sign something saying you laid it down (can provide warranty problems) don't take it and demand it be delivered properly (standing up). If they aren't making you sign anything, get them to load it for you, controls up. Don't even touch it, surveillance cameras.

Taking my mom's SUV, actually she needs it soon I'll just go tomorrow morning instead.

They said we should be fine picking it up, but I'll call again and make sure everything will be handled properly.

Yea I mean never had a problem laying one down correctly, but just get them to load it for you and don't sign anything. Pending anything else happens, they'll use that it was laid down to try and fuck you. I've signed the thing countless times, as a company we're able to warranty it ourselves if we have to, though we never have. Better safe than sorry though.
