06 330xi with 106K miles... Now that I'm commuting 100+ miles a day I decided to go ahead and get the water pump and thermostat changed along with drive belt+tensioner+idle pulley, transfer case fluid + reset, and front differential fluid.

I know some of you might say if it ain't broken it doesn't need change. I didn't want to risk the water pump issue getting broken down in the middle of nowhere. I was still on the original even though I'm the 4th owner of the car. (got it with 64K miles in 2012). One thing that was surprising is that the original thermostat is aluminum and the new one is plastic. Big shout out to my indy who did it for me for a reasonable price.

Edit: since my long commute started I scanned the car every weekend to see if there is any code that would come up regarding the wp failure, but nothing.

cleaned the maf sensor WOW .I highly recommended everyone to do it its something so small takes like 30min max better initial throttle response and I think I'm getting better gas milage but I'll see how that goes after I do my regular commute this week.

Got a full buff detail. Only $100 at a place on Beach Blvd & Lincoln in OC, but even though the paint was smooth it wasn't nearly as swirl-less as I hope it'd be (but then again thanks to a rough patch in my life, it's been 1.5 years since I last detailed my car). I'd do it myself, but it was too impractical where I lived.

yeah I need to change the filter soon I have a k&n but I'm too lazy/don't have enough time/wanna do other things with my time to clean and reoil it. but I've also recently changed it like about a 8 months or so ago. also I have a set of BMS cabin filters that have been sitting after buying them used and cleaning them I'll probably put them in over the long weekend .

I used K&N on my Nissan for 8 yrs and suspected it was bogus (tracked mpgs like a hawk, reoil, vs. new WIX.). Then that dude used million dollar bench test equip to show K&N airflow claims vs new are bogus. K&N coulda paid someone to substantiate their claims as they don't have that expensive test equipment, but they never did (guilt by association).

I always use a new Mann or Mahle in the 335, and have replaced as soon as 10k based on fuel consumption dipping. Not expensive, not the end of the world to replace frequently...

Washed it and waxed it to be ready for winter. Winter wheels are going on the car next week before we get more snow.

I got Style 313s mounted last night. They cost an arm and a leg, but I think they look much better than the stock 189s I had before.
