Not just E30 specific, I had my windshield replaced and my installer showed me that when the windshield was replaced earlier they did such a shit job that they scratched up the A pillar and caused it to start rusting on the inside.

Luckily my installer was great, cleaned up the rust and put primer over it so I shouldn't have to worry about it.

Finally got the OBD Readiness to kick on for my new, 6MT, silver E90. Now I gotta get it inspected and then take it to the tax office to pickup my new, 3 digit plate! Hint: Engine code! Excited to drive this thing legally now, looking forward to many happy miles ahead.

E91's?
When mine cracked, I went to the dealer. They work with a glass installer who ONLY works with high end dealerships. The only way you can tell it was replaced is that it has no sand pitting and the Umwelt sticker from my Euro Delivery is missing. Otherwise, looks just like it rolled out of the factory, and I can't say that about ANY other windshield I have ever had replaced in my 40 years of driving.

BUT, it was *expensive* going through the dealer - $1500+. Genuine BMW glass with new rain sensor, new seals and whatnot. But I live in a state where YOU tell the insurance company where the car is being fixed, and unless it will total the car, they can't say no. Of course, my insurance company wants you to use Safelite and will do their best to talk you into it with "extended warranties" and whatnot - but those butchers are not touching my baby, and I have zero deductible on glass.

I did all the electrical including the breaker panel, aught wire up the outside for the electical hookup, meter box, and ground rod (that was fun). I installed the original heater (green house style) including the gas piping between the tank and unit. I helped with the lift install, installed the air compressor and wired both (240V).
Mrs.3P has full control of the house and yard; sheds and garages and the like are my purview, so I can build it however I want (as long as it isn't ugly, and the colors match lol). Your shop is inspiring me to get on with my plans.
I got my carport today, the crew showed up last night around 7:30 and by 9 they had the frame up. They came back at 8 this AM and were done and cleaned up by 1PM. After watching that go up I'm gonna seriously consider one in a larger size, seems like they're really structurally sound and efficient to erect.

And YAYYYYYYYY my cars don't have to sleep outside anymore!

Pretty! If you have 12 feet in there... a 2-post lift would fit perfectly. Just sayin'

Any pics of the CSF before you installed it? I've been toying with getting one, but at the age and miles of my E90, it's hard to justify. CSF doesn't make one for my Z4; if it did, I definitely would get one for the Z.

I didn't take any pics before installing it, unfortunately. I wish I would have since I'll never really get to see it again since it is hidden between the fan and AC condenser. Fitment is defiantly more tight since it is larger but once it is in, everything else fits as normal for the most part.

61138357847 is 9mm wide at FCP Euro. It is pricey at 50 for a 50 meter roll.

Amazon has the 19mm wide Tesa tape

Had to wash the front of my car since my cats for some reason love to sleep on the roof of my car so I constantly have footprints up my hood and windshield from them.Name: 20241208_121146.jpg

Size: 1.29 MB I'm using Meguiar's ultimate wash and wax. I am going to go with a pure soap next time since this one isn't as strong as I would like. The beading effect created by the wax is great.

CSF Radiator log results!

Hey guys,
I just recorded a 3-4 log with my new CSF Radiator. Here are the results with outside temps of 70F. https://datazap.me/u/bmw335in55/csf-...27-28-29-30-31
Huge differences in coolant and even oil temps. And not that the radiator had any effect on this, but look at my timing. PERFECT! I've been fighting timing correction since I bought the car lol. 1.5 gallons of E85 did the trick I guess. When connecting MHD to the car, I always scan for codes. I was met with this:
- DME active codes -
348A - Map thermostat: clamped open.

- DME shadow (inactive) codes -
293E - Coolant temperature sensor: Multiple fault.

Is the CSF radiator overcooling my car like people have mentioned? The coldest it has been these past few weeks when driving was 42F. Is the Coolant temperature code that is no longer active also related to overcooling, or is it something different? Will this cause any issues with the car? Thanks for any help!
P.S. Here is a log before I had the CSF Radiator:https://datazap.me/u/bmw335in55/log-...og=0&data=3-14

Old suspension, driveshaft (50mm nut was a pain in the arse) axles are out! Getting ready for the m3 diff! Plan on buying a "seems legit garage" aluminum driveshaft, and still need to purchase a passenger side axle! Awaiting powerflex diff bushing. If anyone around UT needed a diff/driveshaft from a 6MT (115k miles) or some Koni struts/shocks (2k miles) let me know 😂

This arrived. Backup transportation for when the 328 is in the shop
Will be a summer 2025 project. Overall in good shape for almost 22 years old and 134k miles. Phenomenal to drive and world-class build quality. Can't wait to bring it back to showroom condition.

Crappy pic, but just got home from Cali at 11:00 pm Mountain, considering I was still on Wilshire Blvd in LA at 10:30am pacific, not bad time.

Drove from CA/AZ border to El Paso on a single tank… and I wasn’t going slow either. almost 600 miles to the tank.

Still had all my music on the NBT HDD, my usb stick of movies still plugged into it,
most of my presets, my Msport umbrella, etc etc.
Almost a time capsule of when I sold it two years ago.
Didn’t have my seat preset though. It will take another week to get that set exactly just so.

Also had one of the other 93 Msport mineralgray f31s pull up alongside leaving LA. Pretty neato!
