A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Water pump fun!
Replaced the water pump in the green car. Nice and easy until I got to the top bolt, you know the one that is virtually impossible to get at.
Ironically, I just had the subframe down a few months ago doing OPG. I would add water pump & thermostat to the list of things to do when the subframe is down, lesson learned. |

I spent the coin and purchased from FCP Euro to use the lifetime warranty, however you can purchase an aftermarket one with serviceable U-joints. I know Overdose did this and also replaced the U-joints with ones that have the grease fitting so that you can maintain them and hopefully make them last much longer.

I’ve had flow formed konig wheels before that were mint so that’s why I bought these expecting perfection. But they don’t seem to be as such

Slapped one of my new “rollers” on the front. I will take better photos when they are actually mounted tomorrow. I’m gonna rock these wheels. Only have front adapters currently.

Drove around with the lid removed from the euro intake box for sh*ts and giggles. Didn't realize how good the N52 could sound! Incredible tone when the DISA valves open up but unfortunately too loud and droney for a daily driver. If only there was a balance where you can hear the amazing tone without the excessive volume and droning
Still highly recommend trying it out though. |

Blew up my 335i's stock charge pipe) I think it lasted only about 100 miles with stage 1 91. my fault, should have installed vrsf chargepipe back after the smog check immediately. would have been able to keep the stock chargepipe for a future smog check. c clip flew off of course so a new one is in order.

Oil change at BMW and ordered a new coolant overflow hose (the one that runs across the radiator). Old one has shrunk, not risking it...

(Small photo dump) Went on a drive last weekend
Just realized since my oil change, my oil meter has stayed at full 3k miles later. Which is crazy considering I was pretty certain I'm leaking from VCG and Rear Main. Normally I would have had to put in a full quart by now. Guess I was consuming oil before the flush. Not enough to see smoke or soot on the exhaust tips though. Another win

Well I haven't done anything to my car in a while.
That's not necessarily a good thing because I have a small vacuum leak that sets a check engine light on cold start. But I bought an excavator and Skid Steer last year and I have been spending most of my time doing property improvements and maintenance. So where is this headed. I believe I am finally ready to replace the 325i with a 335d. Someone talk me out of it. |

If you're replacing it I'll take that chrome off your hands lol On things I did today: Bought some 335 front brakes for the blue car. $175 for calipers, carriers, brake lines, lightly used pads & rotors. Not horrible. Won't install till these current pads are used up but in the meantime- should I paint the new ones glossy silver or satin black? Maybe a champagne color..?

Me too - last time I sent it to my shop and paid 2 hours of labor. Never again as the hardest part was finding the fasteners in the door card!

I plan on warping it, but if I decide to replace it, I'll let you know.

For me, washed it! Was nasty after the salt mix they sprayed here to prevent the roads from icing over. I might be moving to upstate NY in a few months (fingers crossed) and it will be interesting washing it every week in the winter. |

Frothe and Salts Gone have been really helpful to me this year, combined with the self wash bays. Still amazes me how much salt makes its way into the engine bay on these cars. |
