3. I installed Hella G5 BRT projectors. I did the trimming that you mentioned to keep the adaptive function working. There's a LOT of trimming needed in my experience and it's a lot of trial and error. Same with aligning the projectors and making sure their rotation is good.
4. I bought parts headlights to get the updated revision for the arm that holds the projector bracket. My old one was falling apart and they updated the plastic to a material that doesn't fall apart, so I wanted to do that while I was in there.
5. For the angel eyes I got opaque ones from the Angel Eye Guy that come with 3d printed mounting brackets. This made the installation very trivial.

I think that's about everything I did, I did some other random things like replace the xenon bulbs with OSRAM Nightbreakers and replaced the turn signal bulbs while I was in there, but I can't think of anything else.
Do you have a link to the harness? How much was it?

I replaced my water pump and thermostat yesterday/today. The ground for the harness is almost gone. So I will need to address that asap.

Does anyone know which depinning tool works?

Boost solenoid (pressure converter) replaced. Car feels smoother and hopefully no more weird air mass codes. Time will tell. Also gave it a well needed wash!

Amazing! I discovered the same mess inside my headlights. I was able to touch most of it up with "liquid electrical tape" which wasn't pretty but works to prevent shorts. I wasn't even aware that this was an option and I'm going to get a set for my lights when I open them again!

I used the same projectors. They're great, though the blue band is a bit extreme for my liking. I'm not changing them, but I was a bit surprised by the insane BLUE reflection from any reflective signs far off in the distance that get hit by the edge of the cutoff.

What is this updated arm revision? Mine (2007 E93) was in great shape, no signs of falling apart, unlike all the wire insulation. (Yes that's a croissant on the KITCHEN counter, and my lights on a dish towel; it was too cold to work in the garage, and I didn't want any dust inside the newly sealed headlights)

Yet another thing I didn't know existed! Amazing. I wanted to keep the round style but don't want to bother with epoxy or other irreversible hacks (the bracket trimming was enough hacking for me.) The only ones I knew about that had the mounting brackets were the flat bottom style which I would have done, but this is much better! Looking forward to ordering and installing these!

I agree; I thought the 335d was the premium/upmarket model yet most of the ones I see either for sale or on the road are base specs.

It's rare enough to find one with the sport package, so when I found a seller here on the forums with a 335d m-sport who was local to my brother, I notified him right away and he ended up buying it! Alpine white, saddle dakota interior, M-sport (wheels, bumpers, M door sills, steering wheel trim, shadow trim, black headliner/pillars), absolutely amazing car. I'm jealous I didn't get it but glad he picked it up.

He lurks here on the forum but doesn't say much, so I'll show off for him:

Got it washed. Also started chasing some intermittent K-CAN line faults the modules are reporting randomly which started with the freezing weather. Hopefully it's related to the RDC Module and maybe too many undercarriage washes and I can get in there soon to take a look.

Actually I will just buy the rims without the tires, but I didn't succeed to find on the net the relative style number to make sure about the fittment possibility on my stock car.
If anybody can help me with the correct style number I would be grateful.

Cool car!!! I hear the siren song of the M57 off in the distance, but haven't been pulled in yet! I'd like an E70 X5 with that motor, although it still has the ZF6 instead of the ZF8. Have to get a newer F15 for that. This one up north seems about perfect: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...818957648.html

Hit a pothole yesterday and blew out left rear tire on the E91. Tires (Conti DWS06+) were new eight months ago and had less than 3K miles. So, today I got two new rear tires (keeping the one good one for . . . well, if this happens again). And, of course, it happened while away from home (visiting my son for a couple of days). As Rosanne Rosannadanna always said, "It's always something!"

Two things to keep in mind:
1. It doesn't have the wiring for the corner LED, since this is a euro spec harness. If for some reason you're really emotionally attached to that ugly LED then this will be a dealbreaker for you. I had it coded out anyway along with sidemarkers so I didn't care.
2. You will need to depin the connector for the stepper motor that controls vertical height and reuse your old one because it isn't properly keyed for the stepper motor. No big deal, takes a few minutes.
Here's a pic of it rewired:

Yeah I really like them, I think the blue band is cool personally. It's not obnoxious and doesn't make you look like some ricer in a civic with blue headlights. It makes them unique IMO.

Lol, I also worked on them in the kitchen.
Here's pics of the two arms so you know what I'm talking about:

If you don't have any of those clips broken, then you're probably fine. I'm not aware of when they did this revision. I wish internal parts for the headlight were available separately. You can see my attempts to glue it, before I decided to just get the revised one.

Decided to try and adjust the handbrake (e-brake) today. What a irritating ballache. Seems so simple in theory. Could I get the service hook under the handle seated? Could I hell! So I decided to proceed anyway. A lot of swearing with a screwdriver and a torch, and I realised I was actually turning the adjuster the wrong way! Queue more swearing and eventually managed to adjust things the right way (upwards on both sides) and managed to get the handle to hold the car on about 5 clicks. Happy enough with that so I called it a day.

New battery time. I installed a like for like H7 80ah Interstate non AGM from Costco. About $125.00. I registered it with my Ancel BM700. Easy!

The last battery lasted about 5 years but didn't like sub zero temps recently. With charging, I could have nursed it until spring, but I figure any problem you can solve for $125 buck is worth solving.

That spin _up_ on both sides direction is really helpful... that's kinda' been what's holding me back from doing this job!

Haven’t washed it since the first wash after buying. Will probably do a quick wash and polish just to make it look a little more shiny.

Changed water pump and thermostat. Noticed a leak and saw the hose I replaced between the two was leaking. Tightened the leaking hose and thought I was fine. Then I saw another dribble so I will have to take another look

Cut the rear seat section from my old seats. No one buys non folding seat backs. Cut to size and it fits perfectly where the gap was.

Even though there are a few headaches, I’m loving this car. Especially the fact that I have a new bumper and full HID headlights that I need to finish painting. The car will be excellent and with the purchase price of $800 included, I want to have it all “refreshed” for sub 2k

Washed interior all weather rubber mats. The exterior will have to wait.

We had a little snow last week. There’s so much salt on the roads, and sidewalks. Hoping for rain to wash it all away.

Did you just adjust it near the handle? I need to do an adjustment and was wondering if the interior adjustment would be enough rather than going to the brakes themselves.

No I left the handle alone. As I said I couldn’t release the tension in the springs by putting it into service mode, but it seems ok still. Annoyingly, all the videos I saw on YouTube etc, all gave different advice on the direction for adjusting the shoes.

got myself new toys for Christmas, installed few days ago:
- sports steering wheel + new airbag via recall
- carplay (mr12volt)

while installing mic wiring for mr12volt - mirror fell off the windshield, uh.

next day AT shifter wiring failed.
had to take out center console, re-solder and re-route shifter harness.
next time will replace autotragic with 6MT ...

It is possible to fit 8HP into E70 35d nowdays - there no need for F15 with its electric steering

Ohhhh, that would be a great upgrade! Not a casual bolt on though

I'm quietly kicking around the idea of a 35D E70!

I saw one going down the highway a few days ago. The turbo noise was insane. It was almost like diesel trunk. Definitely had a few things done to it.

Mine did the same thing on the 335i. I want to eventually swap both of the cars.

I'm really liking the idea of an 8hp in a 328i though. I think it would give you slightly better MPG and slightly better acceleration. RWD would be more simplistic though.

Too bad, there was an XI manual here that ran and drove for under $1500. That would be a good swap candidate for you.
