335d update.

Today I finally picked it up.

Round trip was about 600 miles.

Since my trailer exploded 2 days before I was supposed to pick it up originally, everything got delayed.

Trailer is fixed but wife was heading up that way today for work so I rode with her. I drove it the 300 miles back and I am loving it.

At 70 mph I was averaging over 40 mpg. Crazy.

I stepped it up to 80 and the average settled at 36.1. Not disappointed. My 325i would deliver about 26 in the same scenario.

I love torque. This is the 6th diesel I currently own. (admittedly 3 are farm/construction equipment) This car has excess torque as is. Makes me happy.

Just got here, pics on phone, not computer, and I am tired. Will get pics tomorrow in daylight.

No joke, this car drove so well it might be my favorite driving car to date.

Picked it up with 86,464 miles on the clock. I expect we'll hit 100k before too long. It will be getting some miles in.

For the e90: Washed and vacuumed the car - definitely needed! Wiped down the engine bay, too.

For the F10: drivers side headlight has water in it. Common problem on the F10. Ordered a brand new OEM Hella assembly for just $425. Absolute steal when retail from BMW is 1.5K. Interested to see how the removal and install process is on the F10. I can pretty much remove the E90s bumper with my eyes closed…

Agree with you there! Some folks don't like the noise or the smell (yes you can still smell the diesel a little bit under the hood and when you open the fuel door) but it's absolutely worth it. Best feeling of any car I've driven. Only thing more fun with more torque down low is an EV.

Just wait until you flash a tune. My brother's had a BPC Stage 1 tune with all the emissions stuff intact and it was pretty insane. Recently he switched to something a bit more aggressive and WOW ... no more traction, and that's with somewhat decent tires (PS AS4.)

I pride myself on having a clean engine bay but yours outshines mine by a mile. I got a lot of scratches. Are you still running the stock CP?

F10 lights are easy to remove. I don't recall the exact procedure, but it was definitely NBD.

Thank you

I am! Planning on a VSRF charge pipe soon. Just depends on where I am in a few months and if I need to meet CARB.

I got the VRFS one. My favorite part about it is the sticker on it

lol we almost took the same photo.

I love how fresh the interior is on my $800 daily. The sport seats are all it really needed. I have a double hump dash and also got rid of one due to time constraints. Think I’m gonna leave it though.

wecu hours

I’ll be flushing the heater core tomorrow. Hopefully my heat issues will be resolved.

It shouldn’t be issue with most especially if it’s black. That’s also only if they do a visual. Even with a visual, if you had stock bypass valves and intake, it’s literally impossible to see. Especially to a non enthusiast.

VRSF charge pipe doesn't have a CARB sticker. To my knowledge none of the charge pipes have them and they're all technically not smog legal.

The vented BOVs are definitely NOT allowed. The CPs that use factory diverter valves function identically to the factory charge pipe so they should be OK but that doesn't mean you'll pass. It's really dependent on the smog technician. One of our fellow forum member's N52 failed with a euro air box. A freaking BMW manufactured airbox that by no means looks aftermarket, but the smog tech knew enough N52 engine bays to recognize that it wasn't original US market equipment.

I have a partial set of the dark poplar and the 2 sets of the standard. I would be interested, but I'm also going to paint a set I believe.

Not going to lie, I kinda like the wood lol. In my daily drivers I feel like it makes the car more "Homey".

I do but I found out its pitted to all hell underneath the fake dry CF wrap the previous owner put on 🥲 only other thing I could wrap it with without showing all the marks would be suede, and I don't want that

I used to hate the wood but for my daily I think it would be nice. Blue car, oyster interior, wood trim. Sounds nicee
If you consider getting rid of one of the full sets let me know. Would love to see pics

Hope the flush helps! Helped a bit in my case, but I’ll still replace the core as it’s not as hot on the passenger side as it should be.

The E90 interior holds up really well. I love the E46 and E39 but you can tell they spent a lot of effort upgrading the materials on the E90 and E60…

install it and save your stock charge pipe for the inspection. my stock charge pipe blew up a few weeks after the smog check, now I'll need to get another one for the inspection in 2 years.

Bought the wrong plug socket.

Does anyone know by chance if a side curtain airbag has deployed, can you just change the bag? I got my replacement a while ago, I also took the modules near it. I'm wondering if anything needs to be coded or if I can simply change the bag and clear the codes?

My E46 wore pretty badly. I feel like E90 is peak BMW. I don't know if its true, but earlier models apparently had better seats. Glad I got a set of "Those" lol.

Cobb makes one! https://www.cobbtuning.com/products/...bD1gG_8R7W5xqF

Just not sure if it’s worth the price premium over the VSRF.
