After leaving the workshop, we headed back to the hotel for a couple of beers before heading out...
Great night had by all, although we did have an unfortunate incident involving a kabab and a footpath lol (enuf said)...
Next day swung by Gosford car museum. Some beautiful cars, well worth the 20 buck entry fee

Nice Sock - and very comparable to what you made at Nizpro so you know the workshop doesn't have a happy dyno. At Nizpro you made 306rwkw on same setup according to my records (FBO, Pure stage 2, inlets, MHD stage 2 98 map).

Good luck keep us posted

ST build continued

Week 2

Well week two into the ST build. Not much progress tbh, so sorry no pics to add

Car is still on the hoist, PS2s have been removed and are back with JD to be inspected and sent back to USA.
Guys at Streamline found a few things that need some general maintenance, like a worn engine mount, leaking water hose and radiator.
Pretty minor stuff that Ill get fixed while its there.

So far not much has happened since the car was dropped off two weeks ago, only six weeks before I arrive to pick up the car, so the pace will need to pick up.
Ill reserve my judgement for the moment, lets see if things progress more quickly next week

Have plenty of time to do the job, if they actually work on it. Most jobs take so long because the car is just sitting around while the shop works on other projects... My car is a daily and I am having to rent a car to get around, while this build takes place. TBH I'm paying for the guys to do a build, not to work on other projects

Dion said the job will be done in 8 weeks, I have no reason to doubt him, he has an excellent reputation and I'm told is a man of his word. Plus 8 weeks is twice as long as time quoted by the other workshop, I could have given this project to. Am confident Dion will deliver on time

Will keep posting progress reports

I hope so for your sake! I agree that most of the time the car just sits and shops don't work on them. I've just seen so many builds online that go over the allotted time. It sounds like yours should not!

Should have just bought a beater instead of renting

Hopefully all goes well. Most of the time my car was just sitting in the garage waiting for hoses and parts. Can't wait for this build.

ST build continued

Week 3

Well week three into the ST build. Some progress with new engine mounts and bits arriving for the install but no significant progress. Hoping to add some pics but nothing has come through yet.... Some basic test fitting means we are going with a bottom mount set up with a 6466

Hopefully pace picks up next week as we get to the half way mark

With the ST build underway, there has been plenty of time to map out the next mod.
In this case a manual conversion, as SPCGRY will need some upgrades to prevent breaking something in the drive train

First part to arrive was a new CSF radiator (7045)
The stock radiator has a leak and needs replacing so what better excuse to do an upgrade to the CSF

Beautiful piece of kit, well packaged and so much chrome
Shame it will be hidden behind the grills lol
