Need advise on what to get for my e92 335i.
Nearly FBO Sees street and maybe 6 AutoX events a year. Would like to be able to adjust it to go lower if possible, but I prefer a good track stance over the lowlife. Just don't know if I should go coilovers or just get shocks/springs. Not looking to spend more than $1k. I had BC Racing BR coilovers on my e36 m3 and loved them. They came with camber plates and some more goodies, so if there is something along those lines that I can get that would be awesome, too.

I have an 09 e92 335xi and have ordered all new lemforder tierods, upper and lower control arms, new bc coil overs (still being made for my order) just had my new 19" wheels come in and waiting on new tpms sensors and tires (245/30/19) to come in. Coil overs should be in within the next 2 weeks or so. I will post a review.

Otherwise the spring may slip out of its fitting and the vehicle will abruptly go out of control. |

So just installed my coilovers, what should I be replacing next on a 335xi , the coils are definitely firm, and the frame definitely takes more force form vibrations and impacts, how can i reduce that ? will replacing sway bars and bushings help ?

Been a while and I forgot about this thread tbh. I have installed BC Coilovers, all new control arms, tierods rods, new 19" wheels with 245/35r19 Nitto Motivo and lowered the car a bit.
The ride is good but within a day or two I found myself needing to replace front c.v. axles which from everything I've read is a pretty normal wear point (114k miles) replaced with reman bmw parts and it drives very smoothly. The rebound is set just a little high but overall I am very happy with stance and surprised at ride quality considering how much lower it sits. Last edited by Blakhorse; 08-27-2016 at 06:59 PM.. |

Question guys I am running 245/275 MPSS and looks like there is no room on rear. I really want coilover or B12 kit. My question is if I roll my fenders I won't have any rubbing issues on rear? Only thing bother me is gap on front rear is pretty flash.. Anyone on B12 or coilover with 245/275 MPSS?

Julian2485 I used Cardone reman'd axles and paid about 135 or so for delivery straight to shop. You can Google cardone axles. NAPA rebrand cardone axles too, but you have to make sure they are specifically the cardone ones.

Hi there i have kw v1 that i bought here from somebody they work great but the only thing the rear sits a little lower than i like. Is there some where i can get a rear springs to get it just a little higher in the back they are at max height now...

I did KW Series 1 when my E92 had 5,000 miles on it. Set them up at the lowest ride hieght, car was slammed. Handling and body roll vastly improved, only other suspension mod at that time was non-runflat Michelin PSS tires. I later added a Quaife LSD.
Ride frankly wasnt great, due to the car being so low. Fast forward to last December, had the suspension redone with M3 parts, tie rods, trailing arms, bushings, sway bars etc... In the midst of all the work, it turns out the front shocks were shot, leaking oil and need a re-build. Rather than wait for weeks to have KW rebuild them, i replaced them with Series 2 coil overs. Raised the car back up, so she sits maybe 1/2" lower than stock. The difference is amazing. With the M3 parts the suspension is tight, and super predictable. The KW's at a more realistic height give a much more comfortable ride, and i no longer cringe every time i encounter a speed bump, or steep driveway. I put a deposit on a set of upgraded brakes, to be installed next month. Going to shop for wheels soon, and will pretty much be done. Was shopping for a new car recently, but due to the depreciation over the 7 years I've owned my E92, the time and money put into the car, the fact I love the finicky bitch, and to tell the truth the car runs circles around 95% of the cars on the road and still looks damn good, I think I will keep her.

Have Eibach springs with yellows...first 6 months about 3 turns if I remember and seemed pretty good but later I did subframe bushings and decided to crank them another 1/2 turn and seemed better without ever bottoming in front as i could before on rough roads sections. I think its very comfortable for daily and had many ask about stance. Reasonable price for great look and good feel. Only at high speeds are springs maybe overmatched.

I did this to my 328 E90 and I wish someone told me this info im about to tell. you when I did it. Your E90 is old and the suspension components are worn. Including the original rubber parts that the suspension relies on. Get new strut mounts aka strut bearings. The new part number will be thicker than the OE one on your car. You can counter the lift with the Supreme Power lowering spring perch. Also get new rear rubber spring seats. Again, my car actually lifted as a result of the B12 kit and the new fresh rubber parts. But it looks fine and rides like a dream. B12 was the best mod that I did to the 328. Going to do the same to the 335d. Some good info here, but still TLDR. I'm going to be upgrading all of my suspension and the biggest upgrade is with the Ohlins RT. My E90 is shy of 60K and browsing on TMS and ECS I saw front strut tower reinforcement plates, do you guys think I should go in on a set? I don't intend to lower the car as the current ride height with the worn MSport suspension is just right. Please advise since most of you seem to have gone through multiple setups.
