he has glimpses of brilliance but I dont think he mentally ready for the premier league. He always seems about a half pace behind.

Chelsea is feeling the injuries in the middle of the park, no kante, no kova and jorghino didnt play last game nor did loftus cheek.

I think there are many players considered elite in their respective leagues (Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, etc.) and then try to transition to the EPL and are blown away by the speed and athleticism in general. In other words, they often take a while to adapt or aren't successful.

very true! we have seen this a lot at Chelsea, too many players to even list couldn't make the transition.

I'm not liking what I'm seeing in today's match against Leeds. ANOTHER stupid play on the defensive end by Alonso this time which led to the penalty. Their D went from being the best to now shaky. They really really need their key players back in the lineup.

Latest rumors have Pulisic going to Barcelona on loan and he reportedly wouldn't mind because he'd likely be a regular starter there. He'd be teaming up with his USMNT mate Sergiño Dest.

He has fallen so far down the pecking order at Chelsea that he may be looking to make a move. Another rumor is Rudiger going to Barca too. That would suck for Chelsea IMO.

oh shit no way, I wonder who would be coming in then if we are willing to loan out these players.

I heard that Real Madrid was the favorite to take Rudiger for free. we cannot afford to lose him, he has been our top player the last few games!

Yeah I think losing Rudiger would have a bigger impact if I'm being honest. I really like Pulisic of course but he has a troubled history with injuries and I just don't believe he can stay fit. Oh and can you imagine how much worse off Chelsea would be if Rudiger weren't in the lineup considering how poor their defense has been of late?

I just saw on ESPN that Chilwell is rumored to be out for the season. This really sucks. At least Kovacic is back. He made a big difference as a sub this past weekend. It would have been better if Kante made it out of the game healthy. I really want to see the midfield of Kante, Kovacic & Jorginho play together again.

I heard this as well, apparently we are shopping for another LB, Digne from Everton on potential loan deal.

Kante picked up a knock, but would be amazing to see those 3 in the mid, Lukaku had quite the 45 minutes, we need that week in week out.

Once again it was Kai Havertz that won it for them. Nicely taken PK to finish off Palmeiras. He was the one that got the winner against Man City in the Champions League Final as well. He has proven to be much more valuable than Timo Werner.

I liked the decision to give it to Havertz. I get nervous anytime Jorginho takes it but since he wasn't in the game that was not an option for them. I think this will boost Havertz's confidence in knowing Tuchel gave him the shot to win this huge match. I just think he's going to get better and better now that he's experienced with the EPL.

Once again I'm pleased with what I've been seeing from Kai Havertz. He is getting better and better and clearly fits into this squad much better than the waste of $$$ Lukaku.

I could not agree more, we are a completely different team without Lukaku, more speed up front which has been very nice, Havertz and Pulisic are explosive, I can't imagine having a healthy Reece James and Ben Chillwell back, our squad isn't anywhere near its potential strongest self.
what is the deal with Werner? Is he still hurt?

I was thinking the same. They sorely miss Reece James and Ben Chilwell. Lukaku stayed on the bench last night for a reason. He bogs the team down when he's on the pitch and his so-called "touch" is non-existent.

Pulisic is playing well and he has gotten his mojo back. Hopefully Tuchel will reward him with more playing time as a result. He is clearly a good fit when he's on the pitch at the same time as Havertz and Kante. Tuchel's system was not meant for a traditional back-to-the-goal type striker which is what Lukaku is. I thought it might still be okay and add a new dimension for them, but it hasn't worked out that way. He's just too damn slow and his so-called touch is shit. They need speed and quick decision making.
