No surprise that you and a lot of pals here who go for speed have little interest on 118i.

For me who is not speed-chasing, I would also like to test drive the 135i.

The 1 series hatch is so ugly... don't see too many of those on the street these days. Lots on the 2nd hand market though

actually i quite like to lines of the 1 series

to me it looks like a bullet
it's just a matter of taste(just like people dun like e91 but i love it!)...i can understand why people dislike the outlook
but no doubt for 135i, with its weight and power, it can be faster than the 335i...

Agreed that it is a matter of taste, a subjective issue. Hot-hatch is a market segmentation that has a steady demand and has its own followers for long. I do think that the exterior look of the hatchback of the 1-series is OK, far more better than the coupe that came with a trunk. The proportion is simply....weird...bizarre.

By the way, off-topic, your son (in your avatar photo) is cute and the photo is beautifully taken.

Not difficult to understand that 135i might be faster than 335i owing to the lighter weight. However, 335i is still more popular than 135i, why ?

The look lor, 335i (E92 and E93 especially) is far more cool, charismatic and "大氣" than 135i.

Yes, I did go. Have tried the 120i convertible. Pick up and power is better than I expected (you know, the requirement of a slow driver is not high). Handling is BMW standard. Nevertheless, the interior is sort of flimsy, location of the window buttons is too rear, engine sound is so so, it is 4-cylinder anyway. Overall speaking, its compact size made it a quite playful car.

The most I appreciated about the test drive was its complimentary breakfast --鮑魚燒賣 (has a piece of abalone on top), 蝦蛟..etc yummy yummy

You might not miss the test drive, but sure miss a better breakfast of the day !
