so ... who's the tool now. i never actually paid attention to the DTC light on startup... looks like I _was_ in valet mode. small wonder the car felt "regular". soon as i hit the mapswitch, the needle fell right to 0 and boost monitoring started working.

joke's on me on this one.

Hell, he already surprised us by adding the fuel gauge boost display. It's all icing on the cake since canbus and code clearing anyway.

btw - anybody know _what_ codes CANclear clears? Will it clear HPFP fail codes?

cat conversion 1
cat conversion 2
fp plausability
manipulation codes (2d18, 2d25)
And a couple other codes associated with running catless off-road use only race cars

If any other non-tuner code pop up, the whole CANclear function is paused so that nothing important will be cleared/suppressed. So, if your fuel pump is failing you trigger one or more fuel system pressure codes which will still show up.

FP Plausability--Can someone explain that one and why it's cleared via CanClear? Is it somehow tune related?

I seem to remember getting that code before I had a tune...

The FP Plausibility code is triggered when fuel pressure hasn't reached the desired target under period of engine load. As you noticed, many stock tune cars to do this. Which is why we added it to the our CANclear list.

Is that this code from your code description file?

"2AAF - 10927 - Fuel Pump Plausibility - Often triggered when running a tune"
