No idea on the part number. It looks like it might be shown on the packaging... but can't make it out well enough to be sure...

Thanks to all! I'll hope for the best...at least now I know what the part should look like when it arrives.

I'm trying to resist the urge to drive over to the dealership my car is being prepped at and take a peak.

When our E91 was coming in, I told my CA that I was thinking of putting a picnic blanket down and watching it come off the truck. She thought that was really funny!

Ok...so I drove by the dealership today. It's only about 20 minutes away. My car was nowhere to be found. I think it was in the back where I couldn't see...and I wasn't about to climb over the fence. I might swing by the place I purchased from (Not a dealership...more like a small building with only 2 sales people) on my way home to see if they brought my car in the night before it is supposed to be delivered.

Only 40 hours to go.

Ok, I just want to know straightforward without sifting through all 11 pages and getting more confused...what is my option for an iPod interface, and how much is it with install? I don't have iDrive and I don't have a USB slot. (MY2006)

this thread is about the factory USB/iPOD interface but it will cost you about 700$ to have the old MOST based ipod installed by your dealer.

Picked up my car today...and NO IPod cable. She delivered my car with the USB-USB cable. She assures me that I'll get the cable....but she has no idea when it will come in.

I was sooooo looking forward to having my IPod integrated.:mad:

OK - now I am even more curious. I also ordered the iPod interface on my new 335i cabrio expected in late May.

I read, in this thread, that the interface will not only handle an iPod but also connect to other USB devices. DOes that mean one could use a thumb drive with music files loaded on it ??? Interested if anyone knows.

Basically, the answer is yes. This thread has lots of posts on that especially by cisoid. Remember, Search is your friend.

iPod goes in the center console with the 6FB option, not in the glove box

Any idea if the adapter has a part # on it? My car was delivered without it so I'm taking matters into my own hands and trying to spoonfeed them as much information as possible so I can get my adapter ASAP.
