When v2 is ready for mass consumption, all PROcede users are welcome to the upgrade. No wait.

Only those orders that come from out-of-state are not taxable. Jeez...what a cheap SOB.
I think there are a lot of e90forum members around the country who need to visit their local state tax office and submit a $100 check.

Shiv might not have to collect it, but Terry's right. Better check with your dept. of revenue's sales and use tax division and see if you owe 'em some money. That is if you want to be a law-abiding taxpayer. Otherwise, ignore this post.

No. Out-of-state purchases are tax exempt. Haven't you ever ordered off the Internet (from companies not based in CA)?

I think all would be fine if Terry wouldn't keep coming into threads that Shiv starts and starts shit.

I find that Terry has absolutely nothing constructive to say about the PROCede.

I vote for a Ban, he can go somewhere else and be an idiot.

On the NYS Income Tax form, they have a line item where you are supposed to volunteer how much tax you own on goods purchased out of state via the internet. Uh, yeah....I bet that collect a lot of revenue that way.

My opinion as a newbie who has had experience with tuning turbo cars in the past and involved in forums like this...Terry could be good to provide a balance. I'm familiar with how good Shiv's stuff is from my Subie days, but everyone here kisses his ass at every opportunity and he is rarely questioned. He could (but I don't think he would) take advantage of this. It's good to have people like Terry around to question what other tuners are doing.

Unfortunately for Terry, he has no tact and comes off like a whiny little bitch and is full of sour grapes. I mean, crying about how much power difference between the v1.45 dyno and the v2.0 dyno, when he should as a supposed "tuner" know that different days produce different results. The first dyno graph provided here by Shiv appears to be 3 dyno runs within a short time of each other on the same day, and shows the results between the different versions. Terry's crying about it makes him look like a baby.

We could all live in peace if all of the chips/piggybacks made the same power, the problem now is that the PROcede is the best one so everyone that bought the brand X is mad at the procede because they dont have one. Kind of like hating me because they aint me...

Not quite true. The seller is not required to collect the tax. You are supposed to claim it though and pay it on April 15.

Of course this is seldom done.

If I had to make an educated guess at this point though I really wouldn't worry too much about it since there are a good # of procede/AA cars running around without any tranny/clutch/differential problems. It also depends how you drive your car. If you maintain your car well and drive it hard every once and a while that is much different then if you beat the piss out of it every time you hop in the driver's seat.

Yeah, but if I remember correctly, Shiv offered a replacement of the Xede when they started selling the PROceed, right?

or

Maybe you are referring to those individuals, that purchased X product, after the PROceed was released?

Use tax is due on purchases made out of state and brought into Florida within 6 months of the purchase date.

FWIW I think Shiv flying in and delivering/installing the device constitutes a nexus in most states. This means he could be held liable for the use tax directly in those states that he visited.

I have Xede, and I'm not mad at the PROcede at all. I am always for healthy competition. Heck, I might even wanna switch to PROcede one day if AA doesn't come up with something comparable to V2.0 in a reasonable amount of time.
