Shiv might not have to collect it, but Terry's right. Better check with your dept. of revenue's sales and use tax division and see if you owe 'em some money. That is if you want to be a law-abiding taxpayer. Otherwise, ignore this post.

No. Out-of-state purchases are tax exempt. Haven't you ever ordered off the Internet (from companies not based in CA)?

I think all would be fine if Terry wouldn't keep coming into threads that Shiv starts and starts shit. I find that Terry has absolutely nothing constructive to say about the PROCede. I vote for a Ban, he can go somewhere else and be an idiot.

On the NYS Income Tax form, they have a line item where you are supposed to volunteer how much tax you own on goods purchased out of state via the internet. Uh, yeah....I bet that collect a lot of revenue that way.

Unfortunately for Terry, he has no tact and comes off like a whiny little bitch and is full of sour grapes. I mean, crying about how much power difference between the v1.45 dyno and the v2.0 dyno, when he should as a supposed "tuner" know that different days produce different results. The first dyno graph provided here by Shiv appears to be 3 dyno runs within a short time of each other on the same day, and shows the results between the different versions. Terry's crying about it makes him look like a baby.

FWIW I think Shiv flying in and delivering/installing the device constitutes a nexus in most states. This means he could be held liable for the use tax directly in those states that he visited.
