It's really not hard with the right tools. From DIY guides I've seen, it's an easier install on the E90 than on my old mk4 Volkswagen. I did about 5 suspension installs on VWs.
A big difference between BMW owners and VW, Honda, etc. is the DIY aspect. I did 100% of the work on my old GTI, except any welding. Saves a good chunk of change and you get to learn your car inside and out. You should have seen my car when I parted it out. It was nearly just a shell in my parent's garage with the interior/exterior/engine out That would be a bit more complex on our cars, but doable with a manual. I'm glad I got to learn how to work on cars on something cheap, so when I messed up, it wasn't expensive to fix lol |

The rear driver's side control arm bolt is a BITCH on the E90. If it weren't for the exhaust being in the way, I would have gotten the coilover install done in no time. Ended up taking like a hour and a half just for that one, and ~4 hours total. I could do it under 3 hours on the next install. Definitely easier and less headaches than my mk4 GTI.

Ask Dave (Arustik1) he goes to a place that does unlimited alignment for 6 months @ $150 or something like that.

My ex-gf bought me a lifetime alignment for my old car from Firestone. It's like $150 and you can take it in whenever, but it's for that car only, so I couldn't keep it.
Can you post up the snaps of my car when you get a chance? Or just add all your pics to the Larz Anderson Park meet thread. |

I just contacted Turner Motorsports about an alignment. I figure, I saved a few hundred bones by doing the install myself, so I'll pay them to properly align it and maybe corner balance, because I'm sure it's not level even though I set them equally.
I'm surprised Firestone told me they don't have equipment to align a BMW. They usually do a good job. |

Alright boys, I need some input because I can't decide...opinions on 18" wheels at or below $1100 for the set..
Currently at the top of my list are Gunmetal V710's...I've thought about M6 reps and LC LM's as well.. |
