Is it true that you should never dip your sushi in soy sauce? Something about it insulting the chef (i.e. lacks flavor)...

I've heard that before about the Soy Sauce, he is a Sushi nazi, but not that much of one.

I don't think its "never"...more like "lightly" dip it....
Otherwise the soy sauce and wasabi will over flavor the natural fresh taste of the fish. And also recommended (dunno why whom) not to put too much wasabi in ur soy sauce.

I think I've read this at one of the most popular sushi place in Hong Kong.
