-valve gasket replacement
-fmic
-colder spark plugs
-oil rail gaskets

No 30FF code? I had this problem and changed the boost solenoids and a cracked vaccuum line and my boost was hitting target again.

Yes it's a custom map for rb turbos. Been chasing this leak ever since I had the turbos put in. Already got new boost solenoids and vacuum lines as well as smoke tested. Going to check the turbos and see if anything is obstructing the wastegate actuator arms.

I'm not throwing 30ff codes.

Did you check your diverter valves/BOV already? Seems like at a certain boost level it's not holding boost somewhere.

Yes, I originally had a turbosmart raceport with an orange spring and just recently bought a tial bov with a black spring and it still does the same thing. I also have a bms bov adapter as well. I didn't have this issue with stock turbos.

I think since its map5 its autotuning as best as possible. I dont see any indication of retards.. Boost is a little low and its not a lot of advance.. You might try to get a shift in there to see what that does to loads, retards and lambda.
But, thats about all I can offer.

Today I put in new NGK plugs gapped at .022. I'm running Stage 1+ and its running strong now. Although it is kind of a light switch when the pedal gets past halfway! Whoa! Is that how these things are when tuned? Even with linear throttle just farther into it? So before I go to E30 or something more aggressive Id like someone to analyse a couple logs. Keep in mind my car is stock except for VRSF CP. K&N drop in AF. The IAT's climb since its got the stock IC but temps are cool so it cools off pretty quick. I plan on up grading the IC in the coming months but here's a couple logs. Hope they open okay. I see some minor timing corrections but usually in only one cylinder? Can someone more knowledgeable about logging take a look? Thanks

are you running 1+ v8? I'm running it and the throttle is weird, no boost under 3k rpm than wham it throws you to 17 psi lol. serious light switch

yes it is V8 1+. I'm even running the linear throttle now. It's not too bad I mean it gets some boost below 3k but there is a significant jump as soon as you get into the throttle. I'm going to try V7 and see if there is a difference. I could get used to this though. It's easy to just cruise around quietly but it's like dr jekyll and mr hyde. LOL

LMAO, please let me know if you like v7 better than the v8. I have the linier throttle map on too. like you said not awful, it just feels a bit sluggish when you aren't pressing the pedal more then 50% and are under 3k rpm

I wanted to log my car completely stock before flashing to rule out any issues specifically caused by the tune.

Now I'm not sure I want to tune it because I see a lot of cylinder corrections and throttle closures. Can someone more experienced with this platform than me tell me what they see here?

Details;

2009 335i xDrive, 148k miles, it is completely stock save for DCI and BMS stock DV charge pipe.

Index 12s, recent walnut blast, new oem plugs, new low pressure side fuel sensor, 1 new coil pack on #1 from a mild low rpm misfire under load(no more misfire). It has had 93 in it since I bought it 4000 miles ago and adaptations were cleared and reset after plugs and coil went in(2000 miles ago) so all data should be accurate. No CEL and no ghost codes in DME.

Car drives fine, no issues apparent. Just seems slow.

I have limited knowledge so the big boys will have to step in. but from what I can tell your stft 1% and stft 2% are running a little more than we like. +/- 10 is where you wanna stay. and your bank 2 looks a little behind stft 2%. Basically the car is triming fuel more than it should, have you looked at your injectors?

I DID (edit - SEE BELOW) look at the log but that's a good call based on mileage. First thing is to replace front O2s if they are more than say 20K miles. As they age, they will react slower bc they accumulate deposits and it takes longer for the ECM to register the voltage change.

This thing isnt even targeting 8psi. And the map isnt identified as MHD. are you sure it flashed right?
Bring up the MHD app and look at the version thats loaded.

Then the next thing is the 14.3psi for the baro (after trims). So you are close to 1000' elevation (https://www.mide.com/pages/air-press...ude-calculator) and that will affect trims also - especially at higher rpm (scalers)

So I flashed V7.1 1+ . It seems about the same maybe slightly less aggressive. Only 14psi? seems like I got slightly higher on V8, but I'm stuck with the ACN 91 maps because thats the best fuel we have here. Is the boost higher with the higher octane maps? I may try E30 soon. Here's a log.

Try E30 and post a log. You’ll likely want to upgrade LPFP if you want to run E long term.

Please take a look

Please take a look. I'm new to MHD, and I'm wondering if my fueling is correct. Could I have a fuel pressure sensor issue? Other things seem normal. Couldn't really pull off a 100% throttle.

No active codes.
I have some shadow codes :
-2AAf -
-2FCA
-2FDA

service history says HPFP was replaced.
I replaced LPFP and walnut blast/coils/plugs.
Mods
DCIs, stepped intercooler, charge pipe with bov.
MHD 1+ 91 octane tune.

https://datazap.me/u/turbohugh/log-1552289217

thanks in advance,

DA was -700ft when i logged. It was 31 degrees ambient temp. I'm in Michigan, its cold(well its warmed up a bit but still).

I assumed thats why target boost was so low since the target and actual were consistent.

I'm sure the O2s are original or if not, due for changing. I know they are considered wear items, I was hoping to push it off until I did downpipes and I wanted to a wait for that because of the complication. But it seems like I need to push it up.

Do you think im getting cylinder corrections and throttle closures simply from meeting the torque targets so easily that its trying to pull power back?

I am not flashed with MHD at all, I am only using the monitor/logger on my factory tune.

Thank you for looking, and no, aside from checking the index when I bought the car, I have no idea how old they are.

With 12s currently in it should I consider replacement still?

I'm sure the O2s are original or if not, due for changing. I know they are considered wear items, I was hoping to push it off until I did downpipes and I wanted to a wait for that because of the complication. But it seems like I need to push it up.

Do you think im getting cylinder corrections and throttle closures simply from meeting the torque targets so easily that its trying to pull power back?

I am not flashed with MHD at all, I am only using the monitor/logger on my factory tune.

DA is the based on the temp and humidity at that time as much as altitude. And anything lower than about 600 wont have any significant effect on power. But the fact that you are at 1000feet means you wont get 14.6psi of air even on the best days. That is reason1 you need a custom tune once you get above S2 maps - 16psi and up

Actually its more bc the OEM bins are horrendous for how they manage power at the limits. I would not try to infer much from them.
