That's the new VHS style horror show right? How is it so far?
So far it's pretty good. It's a bit of a slow burn, but it is engaging.

I'm watching Flight with Denzel Washington as a hero pilot that inverts his airliner to crash land after a malfunction, then the NTSB come in.

One of Denzel's best imo. Great supporting cast as well.

I'd say it's his best, the reunion with his son at the end was a good ending.

Recently re-watched the Mel Gibson/M Night movie Signs.

The movie is so much better with the alternative fan-created (but fits so well) theory of them being demons, not aliens.

Hmm, pretty cool concept. Did the fan do a YT video or something and do you have a link? Ya, just thinking about this definitely makes it MUCH better.

Rewatched this last night. Another good Denzel movie, but thought the first Magnificent Seven, with Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen was better. Have yet to see Seven Samurai, which The Magnificent Seven is based on.

It isn't ONE fan in particular, it's more like fans of the movie as a whole.

This reddit link will give you a high level summary of how it matches up so perfectly: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/c...their/c4ubvmy/

Tx, will be a good read. M Night is just misunderstood sometimes, just like The Village, which is a better film imho. Lots of ppl just didn't get it even in the whole backdrop of everything that was happening then.

I am on Team Signs as his best film.

95% of people will say Sixth Sense, but it is Signs for me.

Whoa, best film? That's giving it a lot, maybe I need to rewatch it but imho I dunno about that. I got soured re Sixth Sense since somebody told me the ending before I saw it. I think it's either that or Unbreakable for me.

Other movies with great endings:
Bridge over the river Kwai (oh my God, what have I done)
Excalibur
The Road warrior
Star Wars episode four
Rocky
Are there any I am missing?
Greatest ending for me was " The usual suspects".

Yep, honestly. For me it goes Signs, The Villiage, Lady in the Water, Sixth Sense.......

Sixth Sense is a too one-time twist for me. It is kind of like watching Fate of the Furious after watching it once, Dom goes rogue, once you know why a re-watch is boring.

The Village is a bit one-time twist, but the whole facade of the village is much better than, "oh he's dead".

Reading that reddit, supposedly M Night mentioned that it wasn't about aliens so maybe most ppl just weren't pay attention at all until some fans brought it up. Supposedly 'Jeff, Who lives at home' refers to that movie as well. Anyway, now I gotta watch that and rewatch Signs

It was alright, but I'm still waiting for him to regain his old magic.

Jeff, Who lives at home is pretty good, if you like Jason Segel, who I'd describe as the anti-Marvel Comic Universe dude. So, for ppl who don't like explosions-laden movies every 5 seconds and want drama.

Can you find anywhere M Night officially said no aliens?

Some posters in the reddit thread said that.

Here's a direct quote from M.Night during an interview. He didn't come out and say it directly but does talk about what the movie really is about. The one thing - love him or hate him - about M.Night is his movies are NEVER just cut and dry. It's not just a ghost movie if it's not just an alien invasion movie. He's always going much deeper than that.

I sometimes enjoy his movies but find the majority of them are lacking, at least for me.
