IIRC the information displayed by the idrive is stored in a different part of the DME than what the AP can modify. But i might be wrong on that

i just installed the Cobb stg2+ Agressive flash yesterday and have a quick question. i know with the piggys there's an "adaptation" period, does such a thing exist with the flashes? and if so, how long or approx how many miles would it take for the car to be fully adapted to the flash that was installed?

V203 kicks the ass of v301 Sport and in my opinion v301 Aggressive.

I love v203 with exception of quirky shift points and some lurching.
If anyone thinks 301 Sport or Aggressive is better, would love to hear opinions.

I've flipped twice, measured boost and also feel the difference. Can't even break tires loose in DS mode on v301 Sport or Aggressive from a standstill, with DCT totally turned off.
v203, non issue breaking tires loose.
I was just thinking this same thing the other day. I used to be able to make the traction control indicator light up in 2nd and sometimes in third gear from a roll with the V203 maps. Since I've switched to V301 maps I haven't broken the tires loose from a roll yet with the exception of into a turn.

I'm going to switch back to V203 today to compare. I will check back in.

After a reflash it always seems to take a few hours of driving to be perfect

thanks for the offer, 2 people were kind enough to send me the maps . I believe i have all of them, 91, 93, valet, v1, v2, ect. So if anyone else wants the v20X maps rom version I8AOS I'll be happy to pass them along. Its quite cool how easy it was to load them onto the AP, just drag and drop....done! Thanks guys!

glad I'm not the only one. Let us know. I tried v301 aggressive for this week and same feeling. It just isn't happening, although from a drive-ability view, 301 has improved shift points and is a smoother experience. V203 made me feel like I was running a tune.

sorry i'm not too familiar with what you guys are referring to since i just received/installed my Cobb yesterday. are you saying that the car seemed to pull harder/accelerate faster with the v203 as opposed to the v301?

We aren't comparing stage 2. We are comparing stage 1 V203 vs. stage 1 V301.

confirmed with butt dyno and by traction control. First attempt to break them loose in second at about 3000 RPMs and the traction control indicator lit up immediately. I guess it depends on personal preference at this point.

quick question guys. my car was sitting around at the bodyshop for a week and change to get a bumper respray sideskirts etc. i got the car back today and at WOT, the car started to stutter. i tried it a few times and i kept getting the same result. never did it before on the tune. car is at 42.5k miles so my guess would be that the plugs need to be changed, but is that a safe assumption to make? Anything else to look at? I plan on pulling the code tomorrow morning, but it feels like a misfire.

ps i am running the stage 1 aggressive map right now. downpipes are off the car and the only mod is the tune.

i have the same problem. 2007 car with 40000 kms on it, had cabb stage 1 sport installed 1 week ago and when i drive hard, once the rpms go over 3500 the "check engine soon" light turns on and the car stutters/ shakes and no more power. after driving at lower rpms for a few mins the check engine light turns off and car feels normal again. when i drive hard same thing happens.
anyone else have this problem? what do u guys think is the problem and how to fix? thanks

Same thing happened to me when I was at 40k. Changed plugs and not a single Misfire since.

Doing my plugs this am. 41k. Hi miles 2009 car.

Dammit What's the right answer for anti seize though.
Put copper on?
Put none on?
I've read a number of threads. 50/50 split opinion on this.

NO anti-seize, torque to specs, 19 ft-lb. Do not over tighten.
EDIT - 17 ft-lb. is correct.

Thanks. Thought it was 17#. I'll double check. Have to put it all back together now and try to find another 14mm socket. The one people talk about doesn't fit. DAMN SCHWABEN.
