the procedure is simple and quick. they give you valum about a half hour before hand to relax you. then theres two machines they use....one cuts the flap in your eye and the other corrects your vision....using the lasers. you're only on each machine for not even 10 minutes. so the whole procedure takes about 20 minutes to do. it doesnt hurt at all...they are constantly putting numbing drops in your eyes. you can kind of see right after its done...although its a blurry. they tell you to go home and sleep for like 5-7 hours...something like that. they dont want you watching tv, reading, or using your computer. they want your eyes to rest....so its best to sleep. i had it done at like 7 am...so it wasnt a problem. once i woke up, i took the protective glasses off and i could see pretty much perfectly. i had an appointment the next day and i was pretty close to seeing 20/20 already. then you have a bunch of follow ups to check your eyes. the last one i went to i was seeing 20/10.
