Cobb,
Is there an estimate ETA on when Stage 1 plus FMIC will drop? I've been in contact with Rob in the past few months and don't mind beta testing it Alan

I would as well.. I usually take my car once a year for a 1/4 mile run to see how it's performing (usually when it gets cooler out - like now).

Well, that was a waste of time. They wanted to change the coils and plugs to the tune of $1100, even after I stated they've been replaced. Now to find out how to get the injector replaced...sigh

It would appear that I'm not the only one reporting misfires with the Cobb tune. I don't want to place blame anywhere, I just want the car to run correctly. I don't see many threads on misfires with aggressive tunes from other vendors. Would an ECU flash vs. piggyback have anything to do with the misfire issues myself and others are seeing?

From what I've read on the forum here and from my personal experience, there have also been lots of issues with misfires with the PROcede. Quite often these issues were not hardware related and were (mostly) solved by Shiv. However, I also know some that switched tunes as the misfires could not be properly diagnosed or reproduced with other tunes.
Before blindly changing expensive hardware (except plugs maybe), I would venture that in this case it could also be tune related. Alpina_B3_Lux

From my experience, a vast majority of the time that there's a cylinder-specific misfire it's plug or coil related. On other platforms the plug/coil discussions are MUCH more common with aggressive tuning. I'm impressed that the OEM parts and gap specs are meeting the needs of the more aggressive calibrations.
Do misfires follow the coil? Do they continue with a plug replacement? Those items right there will help diagnose most misfire issues. And uh, bump for stage 1 + FMIC!

cobb has been on the n54 tuning scene for 11 months with stage 2 in beta and stage 3 in alpha while many of the n54 tunes have been at it for 4+ years. They have moved through the maps very fast compared to the others while still supporting 5 other platforms. I wouldnt bet against them.

That's what i was told by Ian in a PM. Since they wouldn't even give a rough time estimate for stage 2 beta release until it was pretty close, i would consider this a fairly confident estimate. Cobb has yet to make any promises and fail to deliver, so far.

With zero pointless hype. Something seemingly unheard of on this platform.

So what is the difference between S1+FMIC and S2 no FMIC?? I know the hardware required but if cobb can chime in and explain the differences.
I have a TBE and run catless mids, DCI but no FMIC, therefore i can run S2 no problem but i cant run S1+ FMIC ?!! COBB what are the changes, boost levels, any change with timing. Maybe S1+ will hold more boost uptop than S2 ?!! with less timing...

Just a wild guess but I'd think more boost/timing down low/mid on 91 & 93 octane. FMIC will be colder air & so less detonation risk but do nothing for absolute flow rate up top (higher RPM), like catless DP's would.
