The funny thing is that that's exactly what we go for, and some people just dont get it.

Yeah, I can see why some people don't. Just like I don't care about speed anymore. My thoughts...to each their own. I can respect a quality build when I see one regardless of the styling. I just like my e90 laying subframe static and poking wheels out past the quarters haha.

Damn loving this thread! My wheels seem so lame compared to these lol

General question for you guys..

How did you know what size tires, wheels, suspension to get so it will fit? Where did you start?

I want some stretch and poke but I'd be afraid to get the wrong sizes and have rubbing issues. I'm currently on stock m-sport suspension. I figure I would get the wheels first before lowering.

I would suggest you lower first. Find the drop that is suitable for your driving habits. A lot of us have been doing the fitment thing for a long time so me driving slammed on my nuts is something I love, am used to, and am prepared for. I would suggest figuring out what direction you want to take your car. But since you said " slight stretch and poke" I would honestly get yourself a nice set of coils and lower her. Then you can take measurements and figure out what offsets you want to run, how wide of a wheel. Once you get your wheels you can test fit them...this is where us stretch junkies can figure out just how much tire we can squeeze between our lip and fender. But in all honestly the e90 is such a popular platform now a days that a lot of us have done the leg work for you. Just simply google some offsets or flip through the countless threads. My best piece of advice I can give for someone wanted to get into fitment. Is take it slow and buy quality parts.

Hope that helps bud Happy stretching.

Fixing up the bag setup on the Tiguan and putting these on the e90.

I have to say going from coils->bags and back to coils was the best decision I ever made. The BC's were nice but these BWS are INSANE as far as build quality/ customer service goes. I went with 18k and 20k swift springs as well as bws camber plates. Should help me fit these wheels

Quick pick, because no one likes posts without pictures

Naw RWD. I accidentally posted in the xdrive thread here though lol. Have these on a z and they are the best riding, lowest coils you can buy on the market. Very excited to get them on the 90.

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately I don't have the funds for coilovers at the moment. I was thinking of going with the pro-kits. A more conservative drop will allow for wider tires/wheels right?

Realistically speaking, you can run wider wheels/tires now if you really please. But no one likes the 4x4 look. If you don't have the funds for coils right now my advice to you is simply this...save your money. You are going to buy springs for a "moderate drop" (1.4 - 1.8" max) and not be happy with the outcome a few days/weeks/months later and then youll be back on the internet, scouring for coilovers to buy. We all did it, dont make the same mistake. Save yourself money now and just save up for coilovers. Just my .02 bud.

+1 coilovers and camberplates are almost mandatory.
