well, that was an extreme case because it was the second time he had lost his pin

plus he was responsible for both points against me and my brothers

i really cant see him making it through the whole process...

That makes some more sense but wouldn't that be putting down your frat in a sense? I mean he has a used condom representing your frat. No?

it represents the results of his own actions

the brothers have all of these rules/punishments so they can shape and discipline those who will be representing them in the future (us pledges)
