I ordered one of those scirocco's for the missus, on a £129.99 / month (INC VAT) with 2k deposit deal from centralukvehicleleasing. (2 years, 10kpa)
....but in the few hours it took to sort the paperwork, all the rising blue ones were gone, so we cancelled it - only black and viper green left. The cars were all in build slots for November delivery... Might be another scirroco deal soon as they are ending production next spring. |

Certainly becoming more popular. The only drawback is the mileage allocated each year. People with experience, do you not drive around consciously thinking about your mileage cap?
I would imagine you get stung hard by going over as well |

It's not a mileage "cap" either, just think of it as your pre-paid allowance. It's all part of the deal to be worked out from the beginning. It's also more often cheaper to lease for less miles and then pay the excess afterwards than lease for more miles from the outset, especially on performance car cheap deals (which is what I always look at). Doing it that way you only pay if you do the extra miles, whereas if you lease for more miles from the outset, but then do less, they don't give you money back! The excess charge even on my E63 is only 9p/mile. So if i did 15kpa instead of the agreed 10kpa for each of the 2 years that would cost me £900 extra, or £37.50 per month. (i'm struggling to do the 10kpa as it stands) But if I specc'd that lease at 15kpa from the outset it would have gone up by over £80 per month. Same with a lot of these 5kpa cheap deals, even the golf R deals were only 6p / mile extra, so that is only £600 for 10,000 extra miles (£25/month), but again if you asked for 10kpa the cost shot up by way more than that.... In my E63 I'm in a good position, 4000 miles left to do before xmas means I'm using it everyday just to try and use up the miles i've already paid for!! ^^ millage caps aren't an issue unless you going to do 20k extra per year etc.
Only thing I would say is just make sure your happy to keep the car for the length of the lease/finance period. As if you want to change before the lease ends it can be expensive/difficult. Clearly also when the time comes to change what you get next will depend on what's on offer interms of deals. I'm on a odd PCP deal with my Leaf at the moment, it really is almost as cheap as getting the bus, but I'm not sure I'm going to go down the lease/PCP route again. It's just to inflexible for me interms of wanting to change cars etc. |

Agree, the fixed term can be a pain, even 2 years, but it does at least set the timetable for you.
I've wanted to shift the E63 since the summer really after 18 months, but I'm stuck till xmas (2nd Jan) which isn't a great time to organise a new car. Unless I can get a really good M5 lease deal I'll be buying used this time I think....GTR itch to be scratched . I'm luckier than some in that I have a work van to use in between cars. Q3 (1st October) should see the new lease campaign deals come out... |

I'll copy and paste this to save me typing again.
I had a test drive of this today. The thing has clearly had a hard life as a demo. Every single wheel is kerbed, chunks out of 3 of the tyres, the front splitter has been bumped, the bumper and wing is scuffed plus an extra few scratches. Ignoring the poor condition of the car and quite possibly the worst option combination you could pick for the car, I was given the keys to go play. It's definitely more refined and grown up than the A45. It feel faster than the A45, but it's barely quicker. The engine just pulls better. The engine is a nice thing. The ride is smoother than the A45.. The gearbox is a bit better. I do hear there is a very good software update for the box for the A45. Inside I did expect more. The seats aren't as nice to sit in and look ugly in white. That's the upgraded seats too. The steering wheel and gear knob aren't as nice as the A45. There is far more plastic than I was expecting to see. It wasn't anywhere near as premium as people have made out. It's most definitely the case that performance cars in this class all have interiors that are a big step down from bigger cars. You're paying for the performance, but losing out on quality inside. It is a fast, refined hatch. It seems smooth for real world driving, but not a top handling car. I did like it, but it wasn't special like people make out. Then there was the other issue, just trying not to go mental and tick all the boxes, the price was still £47,500. There was so many other boxes that'd I'd like to tick, but £50k would be very easy to exceed. There is a big wait and that should keep values high. I haven't ordered one. The deal would need to be exceptional for me to do that, but I'll never say never. Without a doubt it's a nice car, but given Audi's reputation for quality, I feel there was many things that weren't quite good enough, certainly not on a £50,000 hatch. A few people have been picking up how bad the seats look. I don't think the colour helps, but they weren't the best seats and that's the upgraded ones too. There isn't much space in the back either and those seats were too flat and square. I just think every car is too expensive these days. Prices are going up, but quality is going down. I liked the RS3, It just doesn't merit anywhere near £50k. I can't see Audi making that figure much smaller either. |

I'm fairly new to understanding how leasing works but it seems to me that you really only get a good deal every now and then like the Scirocco mentioned above that was £130 per month. Looking on the leasing websites, there doesn't seem to be these type of deals around and all the prices are inflated.
I had a look at an M235i on the website listed, and it was coming out at £417 excl VAT a month on a 2 year deal with 10k miles. Yeh, okay...

Of course deals come and go, that's the point, they're not cheap all the time, you have to keep looking regularly to spot offers.
Try this one: M235i for £279 inc VAT / month on 9+23, 8kpa https://www.contracthireandleasing.c...ries/55676099/ That's actually quite tempting..... |
