I have tried that one or one that looked very much like it before. It was quick. The board looked weird compared to an OEM one so I threw in a replacement board from another flap and a reworked motor, only issue I had is the gear teeth looked a bit short but it didn't skip or anything so who knows. Shaft and pin were in good size. Hopefully it works for you.

EDIT: actually here it is. It's the same valve I used to show the pin and plastic shaft inside of the housing so you can see how the green seal is different and a bit harder

William, I just subscribed your channel on YouTube

AS I sow in one of your videos you have catless headers also. I planing to go with them olso. How is your overall experience with them? Is them give noticeable difference in performance?

That valve is one of the best ones I've seen from China you shouldn't have issues for a while, just lube up the top of the shaft when you get it.

I have catless headers on and they're awesome. The headers add very noticeable amounts of torque specially from 2500 and up. The 3 stage coupled with them makes the car be much faster imo, more air in and more exhaust out. I was driving it this afternoon and thinking about how much more fun it is than a stock 328i. And this is running on a stock bimmerlabs no maf 330i tune. I want to get a proper tune from bimmerlabs soon.

Did you ask bimmerlabs to make a custom tune for your car?

I write Hassmachine in PM about custom tune hope he answers my questions

William, can you share with me GM trans flash file which you used to flash yours? I wandering to try it if it will better shift, because I already hate those delays between shifting and also current soft have some delay regarding downshift. When I'm breaking down quickly it downshifts slowly, even if the car already stopped sometimes still not in first gear. If that flash does not improve that shit I will swap it with MT immediately

Regards.

Is your engine vibrating a little bit more with MAFless tune during startup?
Mine seems to be. Once the RPMs settle, it's smooth, but the first warm-up has a slight vibration that wasn't there before the tune.

Mine has a rough idle and it likes to rev up once or twice on cold start sometimes. I've looked at live data and it looks like it's adding fuel then it settles down. Maybe it's related to not having the proper IAT.

I have the files for my car but the last thing I'd want is to cause another thread of "my car won't go into gear" if the tune doesn't work

Yeah, understand the point so better to wait for Hassmachine, I believe he will make the file available when he finds time for it. Thanks anyway, friend.

So I will add some update when get and replace 3IM

Thanks. Mine doesn't rev up, but does vibrate.

Can anyone with proper IAT comment on their warm-up period?
I wonder if I should go to the regular tune instead for the cold months.

I have the IAT and it does a little rev up on cold starts. Settles after and never on warm starts.

I'll take a look. No codes, so I wasn't terribly concerned ATM. But I'll read some data and see what it's doing. The obvious will be adding fuel, it's the "why." In most cases, it usually comes down to pre-programming that makes it want to race to warm up to operating temperature.

This is what my car does. This is the worst case scenario when it's the roughest on cold start. I made a thread about it but it got nowhere. The fuel trims indicate its adding fuel indeed

Based on that video, I'm thinking is it worth to flash that tune

even with IAT sensor bluewater328 experiencing the same RPM spike during cold start.

William, how is your gas consumption?

I did my brothers 328 and my fathers 328 both with 3 stage mani's and euro IATs. I got nothing like above^^.

TBH I found the car started and idled smoother than original with both cars. Both cars are 09 328's with 6spd +rwd if that could make any difference.

MAF vs IAT comparison

I did the Euro IAT install on the weekend.

Here is a side by side comparison of the size of the two sensors. Clearly the IAT will pose less obstruction to the the intake air flow.

Currently working with Hass to get the tune worked out....

Did you experience some kind of RPM spikes during a cold start?

Can you provide the proper part number of that IAT?

I ordered this one: 13627547822

I searched a lot but can't find IAT especially for 1 Series. Based on realoem this one which I ordered (part number: 13627547822) compatible with E60 E61 E63 E64 E90 but. But as we all know engine same. So I hope I ordered the correct one ))

The reason I don't blame this on the MAFless tune is the fact that at first the car did not do that at all. It always had a bit of a rough idle. Also that video is the absolute worst case scenario. It's usually a lot better than that

Well, since it only takes a minute, I'll try the standard 330i tune and see how that behaves.
