I just upgraded my interior lights to LEDs. It was an interesting journey and I hope my story will help anyone who was in my shoes when looking for an upgrade. I first saw ECS's Ziza kits, immediately looked for reviews and read uninspiring things. That led me to this thread which was super helpful, and I was set on this kit, just never pulled the trigger. That was back in October 2016.

Back in May i saw Justin Buice's YouTube video on the Bimland Performance kit. Looked great and Justin had only good things to say about it, so I went with that one. When I went to install the Bimland kit, the dome and map lights were very hard to slide in to their slots because the bases of the bulbs were very thick. I had to push pretty hard. Didn't feel good, they didn't seem to sit well. When I went to put the map light covers on, they wouldn't fit. The bulbs were too long, the covers had to be forced in which moved the bulbs inside and they ended up crooked inside the covers. They were also too long for the plastic cover, the dome bulb was pressed against it and you could see the round imprint of the bulb against the cover when on. I was disappointed and frustrated and took them out, worried that the thick bases would stretch out the slots and ruin future installs.

I did install the door lights and the vanity mirror lights with no problems and was very happy with them. But the dome lights being the most important piece, I quickly bought the Factory Output kit from TGS. Shipping was super prompt, packaging was great. Bulbs were all of good build. Moment of truth, the dome lights went in very smoothly with no excessive pressure needed. The bulbs were also shorter than the Bimland dome and map bulbs, and map light covers went on without a problem. Happy ass camper I was. Have to say thanks to TGS and add my endorsement of their kit.

Color-wise, the Bimland bulbs seemed brighter and had just a tiny hint of blue which I liked. The HPB kit is straight white, and a tad more dim. This was most evident in the door lights and the footwell lights. So I used the Bimland bulbs in those two areas. I expected Bimland to be brighter all around, but was surprised to find that HPB was much brighter and more crisp when it came to the vanity mirror and glove box bulbs. So I ended up with Bimland in the doors and footwells, and HPB in the domes, maps, vanity mirrors and glove box. I broke the trunk light casing when taking it out so I still have to fix that before I install the LEDs and so can't say which is better in the trunk. But the trunk bulbs are the same as the ones used in the vanity mirrors and glove box, so I'm confident HPB will end up in the trunk. Also have to mention that the glove box bulb is the same style as the mirrors and trunk, but shorter. Bimland sent me 4 bulbs of the same length, so the one for the glove box wouldn't have gone in without bending the connectors where the bulb is held. So big ups to HPB/TGS, their kit is the clear winner because of build quality, fitment and overall attention to detail. If I had to do it over I might go with their brighter option which I think might match the output of the Bimland bulbs that I really liked in the doors and footwell.

This is a really easy and worthwhile upgrade, LEDs add so much class and style to the interior. Hope this helps someone. Cheers
