When i came to canada, i was surprised that canadian kids they have to work for their stuff, and to pay for phone bills, car if they have enough money, gas, etc. Only very very very little people that pay for their kids cars, and some are not very expensive cars, but their parents don't pay for gas.

hehe .....my father does all this so i can concentrate more on my school studies and get my university diploma as an architect and thats all he cares about.........in the end, getting the Diploma is for my own good and its going to help me in the future .

Its culture. We could give children everything.
But here in the North we are saying. If they will have something - they need to fight for it. We always had. I also had this. If my father would give me something. I just said i will prove i can do it my self. The prove thing here is importent. I hope my son will say the same to me.
But i still think you are lucky. And i still will give my son what he needs if he will have it. But i dont think he will.

Im trying to make my father let me pay for my mods....except for the expensive ones, like Iforged wheels, but he still refuses .

Age for licence are here 18 - and he can start in a few month.
And i dont feel good about it. I know he will use my car to school. Mb show off. Not good in a 100.000$ car. He might drive safe. But no experince you know......

haha my dad worried about the same thing cause he likes to really drive his cars. After he gave me the whole lecture about the car being powerful and how i gotta be careful and all that, he took it for a spin and wasted no time seeing just how much power it had. Him and I= same person lately.

Everybody gets worried thats forsure. My parents didn't let me drive right away (maybe 2 days ) after getting my licences, but they know how i drive since my father tought me driving when i was 12yo (im dead serious) . Everytime i take the car and go somewhere, i have to call me mother when i arrive....so my mother doesn't worry the whole time.
My parents are doing the same thing with my brother who got his licences 2 days ago and he wants to go everywhere. U know when u get the licence u think u can drive and want to take the car everywhere to kinda show off infront of ur friends..........yeah thats my brother .
If ur son is going to use ur car sometimes, he will be ballin hehe .
