So if you flash in JB4 map 0 and leave it in map 0, no need to remove JB4 and can run the latest MHD maps rather than the BMS backend flashes?

Ummm yes you need JB4 in map 0 to do a MHD flash. No need to remove JB4 if in map 0 Personally I'd you intend to just run MHD moss I'd remove the JB4 from the car. Is pretty easy to remove and reinstall later if needed

I have 2 questions.

1. I have jb4, down pipes and intakes. Do I need to disable the jb4 by putting it to map 0 and then flash with mhd stage 2? Or would I be better just using the BMS backend flash for the jb4? I want to run some sort of ethanol blend as well on weekends and 98 during the week.

2. What would you guys do in this situation. I'm potentially taking the jb4 off if I don't need it. The only reason I keep it is for the live data logging with my laptop.

Thanks
1. If you have a JB4 the standard advice is putting the backend flash on there. The flash fills in some of the deficiencies of running a piggyback controller

2. If it was me I'd remove the JB4 entirely and sell it. Then flash MHD stage 2 and enjoy the better power delivery and less headaches. Having driven a JB4 equipped car vs my MHD Stage 2 car, the power is similar at peak but low rpm torque kicks in much sooner in MHD. You can probably fix this with a custom backend flash but thats an extra few hundred dollars (in addition to the original cost of the JB4)

By going MHD flash only, you end up with a better tune and more money in your pocket. Logging is much better with MHD anyway. The only reasons I can think of why you might want JB4 is probably for controlling stuff like meth or port injection which is outside of what most normal people want anyway.

Hey all, just for interest sake I am moving up the MHD OTS maps, but as part of my move up I have just installed 6" FMIC & DPs. Not as much on the youtubes re:RHD cars, so may help a bit. Will do more vids moving forward too.

Nice, pretty cool you got a hoist. I do everything DIY and would love one, just don't really have the roof height for it.

I going to pull out my Procede tune after a few years and going for the MHD tune to see what its like, just waiting for a 20amp battery charger to arrive.
Just OTS Stage 1 with FMIC as I don't have DP's.
Will be interesting.

I paid for it. But man I am glad I did, it would have been so hard to do on my back. Respect to those that do it on axel stands. It's a prick of a job!

I did the clutch on my 135i on jackstands, that was a massive job. Would have been a hell of a lot easier with a lift haha

I have updated MHD V 6.1 to V7.1 Stage 1+ FMIC and I thought you could not get any smoother, but it is truly amazing even in manual mode.
Back a while ago with Procede V5 it was smooth but this takes it to another level, same smoothness as a stock car, just with a lot more power.
Well done MHD makes you enjoy my car a lot more being tuned.
