Majority of MHD users will have no idea that jyamona was even responsible for this mod (and countless others) and obviously he is ok with that. He knows that the people that appreciate all his hard work will donate.

I can name at least 5-7 other projects hes working on at this moment to improve the platform performance wise. Thank you for that, I do have experience with tuning, I came from the diesel pick up world. I'm aware and in complete agreement with everything you said. If anything you explained very eloquently why Jake deserves to be compensated for his talents. As the Canadian mentioned, he's obviously comfortable with the donation method. I simply intended to advocate for him to be paid more fairly IMHO. I'm sorry if it seemed I was discounting his efforts, my intention was to highlight the fact that donations will leave him underpaid for the considerable investment (time, research, etc...) it takes to create a feature like this.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, it's up to Jake/Martial I suppose. In short, I don't think Jake or Martial should be afraid of adding in-app purchases within reason if they add real value (not just on the go fast side). Obviously I appreciate the enthusiast community based development, that's why I donated.

I'll help you out. I'll throw in a $100 donation if they name it "Ricer Pop" because this is feature is too much form over function for me.

In all seriousness, let him sell it the way he wants. Adding an in-app purchase just adds more over head and things to manage. Just keep it simple. Its not like we have many other options to choose from when it comes to tuning tools. All of these guys' time is a finite resource and the more time they spend on this the less time they are working on other features which would push the platform further. We are all at the mercy of them and the "I" mentality won't get us anywhere.

Back in July when he released the knock tables, I threw a donation in his direction (proof). Did the knock tables benefit me?...Nope...Did I care that only few would be able to take advantage of them?...Nope...but they were the beginning of many other discoveries that followed. I wanted to encourage him to keep trekking forward with the amazing work. Jake is doing some great things for this platform and is making it available to all. We should embody that essence and do whatever possible to make it easier for him to continue doing what he is doing.

If it still bothers you that others can get this for free, then start a "Exhaust Gurgle Donation Crew" or when someone reviews the feature, message them this thread and explain that it was an offshoot feature and encourage them to donate to more exciting discoveries.

I think you have comprehensively misunderstood me , why would I want this to be "exclusive"? Also I'm pretty sure the "Exhaust gurgle donation crew" already exist, you're talking to them right now. You truly are a hero for donating for knock tables that you wont use, feel better now?

If you need a little help, maybe read the thread, this all started because I said Jake actually IS creating great value here, and that I appreciate it. If you think I should "alter my lens" on that then I'm afraid there's no hope for you...

It will make your exhaust louder and possible burble more however you will be sacrificing responsiveness. This is more of a hack however losing something to gain another thing is not ideal.

Jakes solution should not have any compromise.

Also the gurggles only come in when you feather the throttle, the future setting will eliminate the need to do that because (my understanding) there will be some overrun or extra fuel put in for you.
