I personally don't like the headlights you posted. I think DEPO makes a set that resembles stock headlights that look nice.
I haven't had issues with my rolling gears headlights so far, other than one fogging up after washing the car, but they promptly sent me a new one that i haven't installed yet. Also no issues with the OPT7 LED low beam bulbs. Here is a picture of the headlights at night with running lights on, and one with just the angel eyes. And this i thought was kind cool too. Edit: Yomorrow I'm going to get some daytime pictures of the headlights for anyone interested. Also I will be trying out those rubber dust covers for the LED bulbs I ordered awhile ago to see how they're going to work. Edit again: Looks like the rubber dust covers should work OK, not perfect but OK. Here is a pic of the headlights, sorry about the reflections and dirty car. I also modified the dust covers after putting in the xenon lights. Used a step drill bit and opened the hole enough for the wires and rubber to pass through, than sealed it with high temp black rtv.

I did have to modify them. This is what I bought. I had to cut them so the outer part was gone, the the part that says 8cm was left. You'll see in the pictures when I put them up what I mean. |

Looks like you need to try to reset the short circuit counter in your FRM.
These are some threads I found on it. Just google BMW 9CBC, that's what I did. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=495535 http://bmwcoders.com/forum/bmw-codin...ode-9cbc-9233/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=625111 Definitely read this too, http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=866044 Make sure to check your wiring before resetting. It could be a problem with your HID kit. I will get those dust boot pics today, haven't had time lately. Last edited by noah.s; 01-10-2017 at 09:52 AM.. |

You have to reset the short circuit counter or it will never work again. Trying stock headlights or different bulbs wouldn't help anything. I think the issue was that your HID kit, or maybe even headlights are short circuiting or something and the FRM shut down that circuit to prevent harm. I don't know much about it, that's just what I found from googling your code. I'm sure a local BMW Indy could reset it if you can't find someone else. |

View post on imgur.com . It seems like it would work well, though I would put a hose clamp, or even a big zip-tie might work, around the outside to keep the rubber boot on the housing. |

ALL FACTORY XENON GUYS AND GALS; Possible solution for people, like myself, that really like the look of the 3D m4 style angel eyes that rolling gears uses. If I'm not mistaken these provide the clip/s that you need to mount the new led rings on a headlight retrofit. Thinking about pulling the trigger but if anyone has experience with another 3D m4 style led rings, please let me know.
