Imo the best ever #2s were Gerhard Berger (along Senna), Rubens Barrichello (Schumacher) and Bottas (along Hamilton).

Vals pain level must have been incredibly high to be there while his car was allegedly being tampered with at times so that he wouldn't challenge Lew.

MAX's issue in the last laps was his HONDA PU ...
The HONDA PU was running too hot . That's why he had to lift it in the last laps ..

while you cannot turn up the engine for quali, you can turn it down during the race. there are different strat modes on the car.

eg you can change boost (and battery behaviour) under different strat modes. race mode, overtake mode (also called defend mode), i'm winning (or losing) by a lot i want to save my engine mode, rain mode, recharge the batteries mode, for example
