Wonder from where or from what they got it from.

Then MAX and Lando will get a hard time to beat them
MAX is also in the danger zone with his HONDA PU's (!)

Next races are Hungary and Spa-Francorchamps .

Checo ?
Ohhhh man ,Checo is been lapped by MAX! That was really bad again !
Losing words for Checo, him having an off day is getting long in the tooth but Artemis says he stays b/c of ton of sponsor money others can't hold a candle to.
LEW has 9 wins here and MAX was just a few feet away ready to strike at the end with low fuel so a flexi front wing should now be being built at MK asap for Hungary.
Engine penalty? 3 place drop should be taken at Spa where it will not hurt so much.

The problem for RB is losing the manufacturer championship is now becoming a real issue. The McLaren gap to RB is now 78 points and shrinking. Had Lando not DNF'd last week, gap could be less.

Lando and Piastri will be quicker than Checo for the remainder of the season regardless if Checo picks up his pace or not.

Couple fun facts:
Hulkenberg has scored more points than Checo in last 6 races.

Sargeant has out qualified Checo in 3 of last 5 races.

The latest data shows that even the RB18 was faster than the RB20 today.

Meanwhile the RB20 is the 3th fastest car at the grid .
P2 today was just the MAX-Factor . Just look where Checo was . He was lapped by MAX !

This means the Red Bull Team has a lot of work to do ..

Yes those last laps, Max on the hard tire should have been a second slower per lap than Ham with the softs. It appears Max was about .5 seconds per lap faster on those slow tires than Ham was on the softs. Really show how much more race craft Max has with his line to beat the tire spread like that.
Same could be said for Nor - much faster tire and got hunted down like a wounded animal.

I think Ham has learned how hard it is for him to win on pure pace when the cars are all close in performance and Nor certainly sees how hard it is to win general for him.

How the McLaren runs with all the tires is really amazing .

How Lando overtook MAX was mind blowing . I couldn't believe my eyes . And he was able to brake much later than MAX on the straight.
The balance of the McLaren must be outstanding and it looks like the tires last forever..

Yeah MAX just needed one more lap and he would have nailed LEW with his DRS ..

Overall the race was great to watch

McLaren has the fastest car most races but needs a better strategy team, they are not as bad as Ferrari but it seems they are making decisions - i won't say that loses the race but that are not helping them win

If McLaren would have double stacked Norris and Pia the same lap as Merc pitted and put medium tires on both the outcome would have been different. Pia was lapping faster than Max the final laps.

I just finished watching the race in the rerun.
wow what a race. Best race so far this season (and that's saying something coming from a Max fan...)
Hammy is a deserved winner.
Very interesting to see the speed of the Merc in colder conditions. For sure both MERC and McLaren were faster than RB and the gains they make from race to race are very impressive. RB's gains this year are on par with gains from Ferrari and AMR, pretty much nil....
And McLaren....despite having the fastest car (imho) they still don't have that winners mentality. Sending Lando after the rain out on softs was totally the wrong decision. They did that because Lewis went on softs...a follow mentality instead of a leader mentality, and that cost them not only 2nd place but arguably also 1st place. They had a new set of mediums and they should've used them.
In the cooldown room you could also see how disappointed Lando was, overthinking his mistake...lookin at the ground shaking his head.

The other mistake was not double stacking where PIA lost so many places and time. Better loose 1-2sec in double stacking than almost 20sec with not double stacking.
Too bad RUS had to retire. He might've gotten NOR too in the end if his car didn't break down.
Max didn't have the pace today, but the strategy and timing Max had was outstanding and for sure won him 2-3 places.

They were asking Lando to do the strategy the whole race. They need to hire a real strategist! I hear Carlos Sainz is looking for a job...

Horner will keep the dice rolling sure betting that MAX will keep the gap to the next one in the constructors safe. It's a sort of two sided safe bet for RBR because I gather Checo's sponsor has far more money than the Constructors prize and with the penalty of winning that meaning reduced wind tunnel time, as someone has said already. So losing it or not may not be such a concern for RB as fans think if it means more tech time to stay ahead of the pack, for instance wind tunnel time needed for this flexi front wing that's been ok'd by FIA.

It appears like KbD says that Ferrari are on the slide with a basic wrong turn before that updates now don't agree with.

Note that Checo was with in DRS of Magnussen until a Ferrari like pit decision to put him on intermediates way too early and it was shit from there on. I'm not giving up on Checo yet but he's not making things any better.

Good and deserved win for Hamilton. Vasseur no longer on suicide watch.
