i know a local guy who pretty much supplies nyc with aftermarket hid kits, and he offers the "digital ballast" with the error canceler. his kit would be plug and play correct? i wouldnt need a capacitor, because the canceler is a cap with its own housing? im curious how the kit connects to the car harness, i dont think the bmw plugs look the same as the kits, but i could be wrong, do they just plug right in? |

Thanks for your input, hows the build quality on the kit? and is the output as bright as other HID kits that cost 100+? im thinking about getting the 6000k slim ballast kit from them. $51.00, word cant beat the price.

I didn't get the slim ballast. I got the 6000k 35w kit that is deplicted on their Ebay page. The quailty is good. Just like in the picture ....generic ballast and bulb. The wiring and connection parts are good. The bulb and ballast comes with a 2 year warranty. I've have expensive kits in the past ( philips Ultinon 6000k) that I've paid $600 for and if i was to put these side by side with the ones I have now...i don't think i would be able to tell which would be brighter. Hope this helps. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Had these HID on my fogs for 2 years and still going. I don't have the slim ballast though. I bought it when they offered the regular ballast so I never had to put any capacitor on it.

That sucks I have mine with 2 4700uf and the only time I have issues is when it is cold outside other then that everything is fine. I believe this happens because the capacitance drops when it is cold. I did by the 10kuf to fix my issue for next winter in miami (). GL

So here's my situation my fellow members...
First off, i drive an 06 325i and converted to LCI halogens. I went to my local shop to install HID to my low beams and Fog lights. The both ballasts are canibus with built in error cancelers. But it seems to be throwing errors still. I noticed the headlights are more stable than the fog lights. When i only turn on the headlights, i experience very minimal errors. It would throw an error when i first turn on the lights then would go away quite fast. When i turn on the fog lights, it would throw an error too and would go away. The problem when is when i drive the car in motion, error would throw constantly. It would clear then throw errors after a few minutes. This would go on and on... I only experienced flickering on my left fog light a for like a month of two. I'm going on my 3rd month now and no more flickering whatsoever. What should i do? Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP??? I don't understand why this is happening and what is causing it?? PLEASE help me out! Tell me what to do! |

10000uf cap, 25v or 35v that you are using? i tried 25v = flicker and error and 35v = no flickering but occasionally error warning. |

Guys, try out the Ebay link i posted at page 12, its 40 bucks and you get the entire kit with bulbs, they have a wide selection. Their construction is pretty solid, weather proof too. Save yourself the hassle.

Ok, I saw this posting http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=101&parent=85 which looks like they have electronic error correction as an option for our cars. I take it that the 35 watt would be the right choice, but what temperature 5000k 6000k would be closest to the factory Xenon headlights on the 328 xi (2008)? What bulb size is the correct one as well?
Has anyone used this kit with the error correction and if so was it complete plug and play? |
