Oh, it's VERY special but seems too simple. With mine having catless dps w/2nd cats and resonator, by deleting just the muffler I would get the same effect? I've heard so many clips using so many variations to exhaust mods, but yours is truly my favorite and exactly what I'm looking for. Your machine is a beautiful work of art.

I don't mind loud, as long as it's not raspy or high pitched. If the video you posted is an exact representation of what it really sounds like, that's exactly what I'm looking for - loud, but a rich, deep tone.....of course my neighbors might not like it every morning I go to the gym @ 5am. I can hear the echo now traveling down the quiet streets.....HAHA!

A totally different vehicle, but I once owned a Trailblazer that I had installed a magnaflow muffler on (straight 6 engine) and loved it. The tone/drone was very soothing to me, although some passengers weren't too fond of it.

right now i think it does have bit of high pitch note when i rev high...havent driven on the road yet so can't comment on how it sounds while driving.

Yeah, I think I heard a slight whistle when you rev'd it, but it wasn't a bad sound, almost reminiscent of a high-end sports car. Will that cause any codes? I have a dp fix, so not worried about that.

What Darren said. It sounds low when you are just idle revving but when you get on it from a dig or roll it screams really loud. That is why I love it!!! GRLPWR, check my thread if you want a rolling shot of straight pipes before you make a decision, lol.

I've actually seen the video several times. Sounds good. Sometimes video clips don't transfer well the actual sound of an exhaust. I heard someone's clip where they only deleted the resonator and I thought it sounded good.....until I did it. Not sure what else the person had going on w/their exhaust, but maybe we didn't have the same setup to begin with. I've also heard several clips that were described as having the same setups (i.e. search youtube for 335i straight pipe) and some sounded terrible, some sounded ok, some didn't sound any different than mine (catless dps, everything else stock). Can't really tell sometimes with the clarity (or lack of) of audio recordings.

I really love Darren's - sounds rich, deep, loud, throaty, but then "screams" at high revs.

turbomikes video is nice but to be honest it will sound alot louder in person...everyone who heard my car told me I will get pulled over as soon as I leave the shop. Cold start will make girls booty collapse, revving will make her booty clap, redline it will make her panty drop.

I understand what you mean. I don't have a race wing, but I am trying to source a "reasonably priced" front wind splitter and will be using short splitter rods, so that might help the look match the sound. Then again, I did have an unmarked state trooper try to entrap me not too long ago by riding next to me, trying to get me to race him (he actually turned around on the hwy to catch back up w/me - no, I wasn't speeding..this time). So, I must already have part of the look.
