Thanks! Ya I wish it was more simple. So how do you get it plugged in from the back? I'm guessing the USB plug in is back there too. How do you access those things? Also know anything about the "tv" part?

To be quite honest, its really not the radio thats complicated, its the E90 itself. I have installed radios in dozens of cars and the e90 is by far the most complicated radio to work on. Most locations once knowing you have a e90 wont even touch the car for installation without spending $1000's to make sure everything is working in the car. So for Eonon to make available a head unit for $300-$400, and for what they integrated into the head unit is quite amazing. I have yet to know a radio thats able to figure out the SOS warning message, or give you half what this radio gives you for the price. Thats why these forums are nice, you can talk to other who have this unit and ask what they did to make certain things work better. Like i was able to use my own map and configured it so I can run the map in the back ground and it will still announce turn by turn directions while the screen is on video or radio. With that said, you can run to your local Wal-Mart or radio shack and purchase a 1/4 inch jack to plug into the back and run into your arm rest, and the usb from the unit is long enough that it can also run in there as well. The tv output i am not familiar with since I am not running it and have no plans to run it. |

I had mine in for a week and took it out. I'll sell you mine for less than you can get it from EONON directly. My only issue is that it kept losing the settings and stations, and I could not figure out which fuse to tap into to solve this. Everything else worked fine. Also, I didn't do any trimming to make the unit fit better.

Didnt received my can bus box until now. I've made the pre-payment as you asked 18 nov and until now, nothing. ![]() Not very pleased that Eonon would just send me a new can bus if I make a pre-payment, and now that I made it, still have the problem to solve. |

You must be joking me... In one of my PM before I made the pre-payment I asked you "How many days to send it?". You replied: "Once we received the payment, we can send it out around 1 business day." After that I've asked you about where was my can bus box. You replied: "It is my fault that i have not contacted with you in time. Actually, we have got the CAN BUS BOX from the factory already...However, there is a bad news that we got feedback from other customer who received the new box, which the problem still have not resolved in his car." Few days after you replied me " A good news to tell you that the Canbus box is tested ok now. We can send it out tomorrow if you agree."... Few day after you replied me "Regarding the CAN BUS box, there is no stock in the warehouse now."... Finally today, your PM says: "It will take about 7-14 days to your destination"! What the...?? ![]() You have a can bus to send, you dont have a can bus to send; the new can bus as fixed the problem, the new can bus still didnt fixed the problem; it will take 1 day; it will take 7-14 days... ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this supposed to increase the willingness to buy from other users? What about starting to be trustworthy so that me and other users at this forum can feel as least that buying this radio is a real good deal? |

Hello,
I recently bought the head unit D5165E and I found some rather annoying problems: 1) the names of the contacts during a call are not shown in the display but only phone number 2) phonebook contacts are not sorted in alphabetical order and this makes it almost necessary to use the phone to make a call 3) The message on the display unit of the open door is not working properly: I receive the notice of the trunk but not of the doors (on-board computer *works correctly) 4) NFC seems not to work correctly Honestly the first two problems are quite serious, considering that the main reason that prompted me to purchase were the gps navigator and the possibility of not having to use the phone in the car. Hello, in the picture below you can se that the name on the phonshown are shown. They are sorted on number but the name are present. For that reason i think it is very easy to solve the first two bug with a firmware upgrade.
Regard my phone i have a galaxy s4 and i always use nfc with other phones... ![]() |

But it was weekend and until Dec.3th, I was informed the box was out of stock. I was very frustrated too and arranged a new can bus from factory on Dec 4th to warehouse. Finally it was arrived the warehouse on Dec 9th including weekend. Look back into the whole case, there were many unexpected situations happened, but I always tried my best to keep communicated with you and make sure you were informed during the whole progress. I totally understand why you are so angry. I apologize again and your understanding will be very much appreciated. ![]() |
