Well, i personally love the clean look it leaves when they are debadged. I have debadged every car i have owned since i was a kid. However i can understand your point cause its an IS. If it was a m3 i would not debadge that. However most people dont know what the 335is is compared to the standard 335i. In fact i am coming from an Audi, and I am a huge german car fan. I have owned 2 Audi's, 2 VW's, 3 Mercedes' and this is my 2nd BMW and i didnt even know what the 335is was until i test drove it. Then i loved it and went home and read up on the differences between the 335i and the 335is and said, oh, this is definitely the car i want. So since most people dont know, i would rather go with the clean look with no badges. I know its an IS and thats all that matters to me. I dont need to show off.

I drive my car pretty hard daily. But that time i wasnt and went to shift from 3rd to 4th and i hear a pop sound. Looked back and a shit load of white smoke. Pulled over and oil was dripping out of the exhaust. Got it towed it there hopefully it wont take long. lol

I like debadged and have done it to my Sport truck and other vehicles but the 'is' just seems a unique and somewhat rare OEM Beast. I chose to leave it at is. And do some engine and cosmetic mods but leaving it looking factory as much as original as I can.

I had to get out of my 2011 335i QUICk (Long story). So i went to my dealer ready to purchase a new M3 off the showroom floor, but they only had a convertible. The next step down was a 335is, fell in love with it and took it home. Honestly, I have been kicking myself in the arse ever since, for not getting a M3. But given the circumstances at the time I had to get a new car that day.

if you're into modding or want to start modding you have way more options with the N54 and non-M car and mods will be "cheaper" too. M3 is a beautiful car and i wish everyday i just had a coupe on the side for track occasions.. but after driving/borrowing my friend's for 3 days.. and where i live, it really was not a practical decision to get the M3. BUT cant wait to get the new F80 M3 Wishing my lease was up already |
