Yep the BW is massive compared to the 6466. Will need to find a way to make it fit

sadly a hammer is exactly what we will need to make things fit.
Bit to the bonnet bracing and the subframe should do it

Pretty much all the parts for the install have arrived. Now time to think about heat management.

Have got a turbo beanie and will ceramic coat the pipework but will need need more then that to properly heat shield everything. Any recommendations for protecting the wiring under the engine cover etc. Would like to avoid using exhaust wrap if possible. Thanks

Thanks Aus, I gave DCI a call and spoke to Damian
He was great, very friendly and helpful

As a bonus they are located here in Melbourne (FTW)
http://www.dciperformance.com.au/

Going with .....

XT-5000 sheeting for the underside of the bonnet
TF flex - TSA for the top of the engine cover
Thermasheild T6 in 1/2" size to cover the injector wiring

ST build continued

Vince came over to test fit the BW EFR 7670 and install the oil and coolant block offs... fiddly job with most of the ports, tucked up in impossible positions to access, Vince clearly has arms of rubber and managed to get all the block offs in place and seated

Then onto test fitting the 7670, This Borg Warner turbo has an internal waste gate which make the unit longer then the externally waste gated versions. Once again a pretty snug fit and with a bit of trimming of the bonnet bracing, we were able to get the bonnet closed.

Turbo blanket took a bit of figuring out but got there in the end lol should provide good protection for the ignition wiring etc

Next week, we start fabricating the down pipe

Pics below

Mod 86 - AP racing brake kit

Picked up this BBK as part of a brake swap with a mate who is parting out his car. Is the first real mod since SPCGRY got towed back from Sydney
Calipers and rotors need a bit of the clean, car is looking a bit sad at the moment but will benefit from the extra stopping power, once it's back on the road... Rear dust guards required trimming to fit the rear calipers. A quick trip to Bunnings to pick up some tin snips sorted that out.

Big thanks to Vince for spending his Sunday, fitting these for me... Thanks mate

Pic 2 - Yoda weaving his magic
Pic 3 - Trimming rear dust cover
Pics 4 to 8 - Fitting in progress
Pics 9 & 10 - Looking shitty but fitted

Rotors are a bit rusty mate, but the rust should wipe off when back on the road, calipers need a good clean but should scrub up ok mate

As you can see from the pics, not much room to fit a 90 pipe or pod filter.... not sure what we will do yet
