The new M3/M4 will blow you away with its handling, braking, suspension, interior, seating and features. Sad though it does not come with the seat belt extrators and the seat lips to extend you legs Power delivery: It was a disapointment for a car of its caliber and brag rights when compared to a "properly" Pro or Self flashed tuned 335is DCT I am not talking about any OTS maps for a 335is DCT either. Its a night and day difference between an OTS map and a Protuned map or Selftuned map if you know what your doing. The high traps on the M4 has all to do with the effeciency of its turbos, IMO. The power really starts to come on during and after the 3rd gear from WOT. Not like our 335is DCT, our power comes slap in the face up front, well if you have overboost enable like I do on mine so no waiting for the second gear to build up power. In other words we will hit our max whp sooner than on the M4 which means a stock M3/M4 will be seeing out plates sooner. Postshift on the M4 kicks like it does on the N54/S65 DCT. However, unlike the 335is DCT, when your about to say " Oh Shnit there it is" your left with a disapointment as the power rolls off and the front end drops. This is not the case with the 335is DCT. After post shifts the front end stays raised up and the power does not start to roll off but is continious till after 5600 RPM . So technically the M4 needs to be retuned badly, the stock tuning will get plastic quick when coming from a properly tuned 335is DCT. Exhaust note is absolute a POS. Its the most hedious thing heard of an M car. The previous M3 and the N54 stock sound wayyyy better than the new M3/M4 Now, to drop $80k+ on a car it better be sastisfactory in everyway unless your leasing and you just dont give shnits cause you will be getting rid of it in 24-36 months. So in a whole nut shell, if you got a 335is hold on to it till tuning becomes more available and reasonable for the M3/M4 and plan ahead to change that terrible rice burner raspy exhaust. |

Well put. I am still on the fence with the ///M4. The looks are pretty
I still have yet to test drive either as my dealer doesn't have any on the lot yet. The few they have gotten were immediately sold or leased. In time... As you say, coming from a well-tuned 335is, $80K is going to be hard to swallow. |

First post. New owner.
I have been watching in silence while I hunted down my IS. Finally picked this one up. It's a CPO car with every option minus active steering. I had an E46 M3 w/ SMG a while back and regretted letting it go every day since. This car is everything my old M3 was and much more! Glad I can finally join the fold.

Can anyone tell me what kind of power I would roughly be running on my IS with an Intake Charge pipe Intercooler And I already have cattless downpipes on my stock exhaust Thanks! |

I think it's going to stay stock for a while. I want to keep the warranty in good standing. I just need to get my V1 Blendmounted and clear tint on the front windshield and I should be good to go for a while.
It would be nice to get some VMR 710s at some point but we shall see. |

I love the 313 wheels too, but the IS I am currently looking at has the 225's. Are those guaranteed to crack? I'm seeing that alot of people have had issues with them cracking. I'll probably pick up some 313's for a winter set.

Like I said it's my opinion. I personally think those are gross. Makes the car look tacky.

Yes I love the 225's as well but they do have cracking issues. I'm thinking of buying a set anyway

Had anyone tried removing their air duct pieces? I don't know what they're called but I think you guys know what I'm taking about.

I only mean the blades on the front. Not the duct itself.
I wonder if it would make the car look more aggressive.
