Newbie

Hi All,

Another new member.
I've had an e91 M Sport for a few months now, its only the 318i, so just getting used to the power (or lack of)...

Needs must and I needed something sensible with a boot...

Just had it serviced today and been advised by my trustee independent specialist that it needs the rear axle final drive replaced... still picking myself up off the ground with the cost...

Is there an easy replacement...?

Just moved to a 335i from my Nissan 370z, needed something more comfy and refined for motorway munching. Lovely car but the one I got is almost bare - it has a DCT and CCC iDrive plus the M-Sport pack.

So now my project starts - retro fit as much as possible! Not sure where to start... god its a massive forum compared to the zed owners club. I'm lost!

I'm legit new and looking around for a 318i because despite them being underpowered they're much cheaper to insure and that's important because of where I live haha, better than nothing

Hi All

Thank you for accepting me.
Bought a 3 series N47 for about £3000 with 116000 miles off auction, drove it for a few days and it died on the M4.
I thought it was the timing chain as I could hear a metallic clicking noise when the engine was running idle, (still parked on my drive unmoved) mech said it might be the fuel pressure. He suggested that I buy a new filter and heater. I bought those parts changd but still won't start. Now he says that it might be the fuel pump (after earlier dismissing it). I have ordered one awaiting delivery.

Should i just cut my losses and sell this car as the wife fears it might be a money pit. I'm also beginning to suspect the same.
