Oh man, I'm lucky I don't burn. I get really brown from this California sun, though. Used to be so pale when I came from the east coast, haha.

I bought the '04 motor that's coming soon a couple of weeks ago because that's what I need to make my swap CARB legal in my '03 chassis. Then a local guy decided to sell his whole swap including an '02 motor that was gathering dust in his garage because he got rid of the E30 M3 it was supposed to go into (wife made him do it, haha). He wasn't as willing to let the other stuff go with the motor, so I picked the whole package up. So yeah, two motors.

Haha. That would be an insane project. I know I could get all of the parts in, but the tricky bit would be getting the electronics to cooperate. People have swapped the new generation motors already, so it could be done with enough homework.

Thank you. I agree. I used to go when there were hot chicks everwhere showing off all the time. Now you'll usually see 3 wannabe dogshit models that you actually want to look away from. As for the cars, I'd rather see them at the track rubbing paint.

Is that a pretty easy swap nowadays? I know that MIT E46 guy did it a while back. Do they check for years on motors on swaps now? I know it's technically only possible with a newer motor. I have heard of people swapping in a motor from an older year and nobody would know the difference. But I guess might as well stay within the lines to be sure.
